NSW Labor Next To Go

17 out of 90 possible seats IMO. A pure massacre. Might have to rip the scab off the 1993 Penfolds Grange Hermitage to celebrate. ;)

ill be putting the moet on ice..

im not expecting drastic change from liberals, but atleast we wont have a govt lining their coffers.

The biggest losers tonight will be all those people in bureaucratic public roles ie all the scriptwriters, speech writers coffee getters and hangers on. Time to get a real job ladies and gentleman...

At about 6:54pm WA time (9:54 EDST), ABC news24 host on the election (Kerry O'Brien) praised the lord on the election result.

I'll save it if someone can tell me how to save WMP timeshift chache.

To her credit Keneally was out there every day with a smile pushing her barrow of NSW labor dung.

It hasn't even been a campaign really. How could labor campaign on their acheivements when there hasn't been any. Other than a series of scandals and incompetance.

Good riddance.

It's all over 'RED ROVER' and the next domino to fall will be Quensland Labor. Bring it on ANNA.

Don't be too worried about Premier 'brave Kristina'. The radio talk is that she is being groomed for a role in federal politics.

To her credit Keneally was out there every day with a smile pushing her barrow of NSW labor dung.
I hope that's right, Logique. She has definite talent and given the paucity of such a characteristic, it would be a pity to lose her entirely.
She showed a lot of tenacity.

Well, it is very common in all Labor administration. They have a history of being top heavy with bureaucrats in both federal and state. I hope the new NSW Government clean out the dead wood and cut costs in doing so.

I will up the ante and go for the vintage 1993 bottled 1997 Penfolds Grange Hermitage. A pox on their house for a thousand years I say !

Here's a tune for Greg Combet and other cocoon dwellers.

Re: NSW Labor Gone in the worst landslide since the 19th Century

NSW Labour will be lucky to hold 20 seats against the liberal/national party coalitions 66+ seats. In the next 8-12 years NSW labor will struggle to present a realistic "opposition" to the policy agenda of Mr Farrell.
The best thing for NSW to come out of this election is the removal of the hard core of "Sussex Street" mp's that were too often linked to private companies thriving on consulting and other fees from shonky development approvals.

Will be interesting to see if Oakeshott takes any responsibility for the large swing against the state independent in Port Macquarie

Windsor and Oakeshott will pay the price at the next Federal election for double crossing their electorates.

One of the most gratifying outcomes of yesterday's election was that the Greens got nothing. They had apparently expected to pick up at least two lower house seats but no chance.

The other excellent outcome was that Pauline Hanson apparently received fewer votes than the "Others" category.
Is it too much to hope that she will finally get the message that her brief time of fame is well and truly over? Not a moment too soon.
