NGL - Nightingale Intelligent Systems

Looking at trading the market hasn't moved so no reason to purchase.
Generally, I find announcements don't react as you would expect.
I can only hope people do some research and wake up to the fundamentals here. Crazy that the market hasn’t reacted to this.

NGL - contract to supply the largest police department in the United States.

"if the total contract revenue was recognised in the current financial year, it would amount to approximately 30% of the current financial year revenue."

Looking at trading the market hasn't moved so no reason to purchase.

Sounds good - "30% of current year". Now up 4% and $4,000 odd value traded with no momentum. Market obviously thought 30% of very little is even littler.

Nightingale drone on display @ 1 min 5 seconds in on this video.

If anyone speaks German, I would be curious to know what they are saying.

@verce Ahem .. tap or click on your YouTube video screen. Select the 'Settings' icon far right. From pop up menu select 'Captions' > select English auto generated. English captions should show up at bottom of your screen.
Thank you. There were no insights to be had. Just a bit of German PR.

One thing I missed which was hidden away in the Q1 2023 Quarterly Activity Report and Appendix 4C:

CSL Seqirus: Nightingale has signed an agreement with CSL Seqirus, a subsidiary of CSL, the Australian global biotechnology company. Under the agreement, Nightingale will deploy its flagship Blackbird Security Drone, together with the Base Station and Intelligent Mission Control Software to meet the security, surveillance and inspection needs of one of CSL Seqirus’ key pharmaceutical laboratories in the USA. The Robot-as-a-Service deal is an annual subscription for an initial location in the USA, with additional locations to be discussed once the system is operational.

@verce I can see why your are sticking with this little puppy. I just wonder why has the SP kept dropping?

One reason I believe is that every man and her dog are out there making drones.

@verce how much are these things? Looks like it's just a drone you could buy at Kmart for a hundred bucks. Does look like it might be a little better than a DJI I guess with the magic words letters AI being thrown around.

Not sure about 'can't go any lower'. MC of about $4m, so it could go into administration and go to zero too I suppose. Or, maybe they get a UAV contract with the Houthis for a model that drops bombs and it'll take off.

I suspect people are getting bored and bailing. News flow could be improved. And there is always the spectre of a capital raising looming in this end of the market. I like tiny companies that are totally ignored and sometimes severely punished by the market, but they need to have a tight capital structure (definitely not billions of shares on issue), well-incentivised management with skin in the game, and preferably some good macro tailwinds behind them (like the AI trend at the moment).

What is the worst thing that can happen if I continue to hold this stock? It goes to zero as some suggest. But I believe that management have the capability to turn it around. They are still achieving milestones. Like a duck that seems like it is idling about on the water, but is actually furiously paddling beneath with purpose.

Appreciate the perspective Sean. Your concerns are valid. However, calling it a $100 Kmart drone suggests to me that I’m still early and people aren’t conducting sufficient due diligence on the company’s fundamentals.

Yes, I was being a bit sarcastic about what it delivers but still interested in the price. I haven't been able to find a cost of the units. You're definitely early enough with just a $4m MC.

Hi Peter

I don't have an exact figure for you, but I personally estimate the Blackbird drones cost between 50k USD and 150k USD. This includes the drone itself and the base station ('drone-in-a-box').

However, there is also annual recurring revenue in the form of maintenance, support and upgrades. So it's a robot-as-a-service kind of package. I think the software + AI they have on-board is the real differentiator here.

To quote the CEO:

"The more our drones operate over time, the more they learn about the operational environment so they can better differentiate between threats and nonthreats. It’s kind of like piano lessons; the more you learn, the better player you become."

They also have leasing as another option, which I think is paid out on a monthly basis / or as contratually negotiated with each customer.

They are currently in a 'land and expand' phase at the moment, which is all about getting their foot in the door before scaling up revenue.

Happy to answer any further questions!
