This is a very rookie question but I have to ask it.

What news feed does everybody use for day trading Australian stocks? Is there some reputable news providers, paid, free, cheap/ expensive?

I am not sure who to go with. I do realise that Bloomberg provides a news feed but I'm sure it's horrendously expensive.

Any hints?

Dow Jones Newswires

this is NOT a recommendation
it is actually a CAUTION

this mob regularly confuses the NZX ( New Zealand stock exchange ) codes with ASX ticker codes ( this can cause issues , and has been a 'feature ' for several years )

ALSO it often confuses target prices with the US listed equivalent

this comes free with one of my trading platforms the other platform also has a news feed , that i rarely use

https://finance.yahoo.com/news/ ,

is free and MIGHT be helpful

all these news feeds suffer a time lag , which may impact your trading

( i don't trade , i invest )

although news feeds were not the primary reason i decided not to trade , they do help tilt the needle in that direction

I do a google search and filter the time period but be aware that a lot of the investor type sites can be biased.

You can get a fair bit of info from the investor pages owned by the stock these days also.
