Good morning everyone and welcome to the February 2022 stock tipping competition entry thread! :)

All ASF members and visitors who signup with OpenTrader through a link at ASF will get three months free access to their Active Share Trader PRO platform, valued at $297. So please be sure to check them out. Whether you're an active or occasional trader, you'll find them very hard to beat.

A quick recap of the rules for those not familiar with them:

1. Each entrant may choose one ASX listed stock. Options, warrants and deferred settlement shares are not permitted.

2. Stocks with a price of less than $0.01 are ineligible for the competition, as are stocks that are currently suspended from trading.

3. Either before or after posting your entry and before the deadline for entries you must post in the forum thread of the stock you have entered providing either a general update or a view on why you think the share price is going to increase in the short term.

4. The winner is the entrant whose selected stock performs the best in percentage terms between the close of trading on 31 January (entry price) and the close of trading on 28 February.

5. The maximum number of entrants in the competition is 100.

The entry price for all entries is the closing price on the last trading day of this month.

The competition winner will receive $100. The second placegetter will win $50 and the third placegetter $25.

You have until midnight on Monday, 31 January to enter. However, in practice, entries can be submitted until this thread is closed. No entries submitted after that can be accepted for any reason.

Please post your entries in this thread. Remember, once you have selected your stock, you CANNOT change it for any reason.

Best of luck to all entrants! :xyxthumbs
Hi @Joe Blow - just a suggestion to get more participants on the stock tipping competition.
If you automate an email to all tipsters of the current and last two months as soon as you publish the tipping competition thread, then no one will have to search for it and also avoid missing it.
Regards

BNO again for me Joe. THought to tip MHC but my lazy mind says, it is easy to repeat BNO and then I do not have to scratch my hed with BNO already dived down south.
thanks

We had an early session today as it was so hot. I'm off to bed for a nap. My dart finally landed on a stock. It is called...lemme check...

TOU for me Joe thanks.

The trigger finger is getting twitchy; the Feb competition will start tomorrow.

Just looking through watchlists; it is Quarterly reporting time and the explorers, techs and other hopefuls have uploaded theirs. Too many to go through. Besides, while the odds are better for huge jumps from the minnows, any market moving news is frequently followed by Trading Halt and Cap raise and etc. We are also entering Reporting Season for meaningful entities, and sometimes this can propel good companies higher, so this is where I might instruct MY dart to land.

But the putative shortlist has been impacted over the last few days; what was 19c is now 21c, what was $5.80 is now $6.20, sort of thing. And those few percent can make a difference. Ah, the fickleness of the 4 week window!

I think it will be Calix CXL. Been sold off. Hasn't announced much for a while. And may report pleasing developments. $5.06.

Ladies and gentlemen, if you haven't already, please don't forget to post in the thread of your competition entry with either some information about why you think it will increase in price in the coming month, or just a general update on what has been happening with the company. Any kind of meaningful content will suffice.

Thanks in advance.

Ahoy Brave and Loyal Crew
I am changing tack this month Let's hoist the CRYP in quick time for the morrow
I love a nice bottom
Surely she can't go any lower?
CRYP is an ETF on the ASX Beta Exchange

If $5 dollar shares are not allowed I will stick with the Beautiful TMZ again

Back to school for lots of kids and teachers this week and it made me think about SCL for the Comp, thanks Joe. I'll update the thread in the morning.
