What do people think of the new CommSec trading interface? Personally, I don't like it. It's too graphical and slow. I can't seem to remove the "News" section from the front page, so I have to scroll down in order to see the Exchange Rates.

The old interface was much faster, because everything was loaded into separate frames. Now branding and menus are part of each page so the page information is increased.

On trading days with lots of volume, I can see CommSec grind to a halt with page refreshes and then crash! I'm seriously considering moving to e-Trade or someone else. :2twocents

There's just little things I keep finding that are starting to p*ss me off.

Number of BUYERS / SELLERS in the Market Depth for example:
146 buyers for 9905051 units

How many units? It used to be displayed as 9,905,051 units which is much easier to read. They have used separators in the volume / value traded for the day, but not in the totals for Depth. It's inconsistencies like this that make their QA look like a joke!

When selecting a new "Watchlist" from the dropdown, it doesn't automatically refresh the page results. I've tried both IE and Firefox. I now have to click "Display" in order for the results to appear. I'm grumpy now... might have to switch off the computer and go :banghead:

Give PariTrade and PULSE a try: http://www.paritech.com.au/

Hooray! Fixed.

Haven't been updated yet but glad to hear it is happening. I find the current interface not very user-friendly.

I havent been upgraded yet either, seems like the roll out is taking some time :banghead::banghead::banghead:
It's taken me a while to get used to the changes, but there are many great improvements - including being able to see your exact position in the BUY / SELL queues and pricing charts for each ASX code. Send CommSec an email to see when you are likely to be upgraded.

are people still on the old interface or is it just me?

like you.... I am unworthy of being given an upgrade. I asked them about it a few weeks ago, and told that I would get upgraded sooner or later. But could not give me a date. No idea on what I'm missing?!?
