There's truth to it though. I'd couple it with (for Australia) workers have become useless crybabies.
Politicians have failed with inflating the dollar into a mess. Public servants need to be culled.

Wages and energy are at a point where it's having a stupid effect on prices at the checkout. The ridiculous amount of regulation is the coffin nail in many businesses.

It will end up like Greece. You can't just keep raising wages as a solution forever.

Keating sort to lockin wage increases with productivity increases which worked until greed kicked in and Howard removed the mechanisms using US style language that more jobs was important (read wage slaves).

A true gauge of how far things have fallen in a moral and practical sense is the massive increases of difference between CEO salary and the average wage.

The voter skew is interesting.
It appears young men and Latinosos are swinging to Trump. White women and older Republican voters are swinging to Harris.

One of the leading Dems thinks they have it in the bag because the polling is adjusting too much for Trump because they got it so wrong last time.

Planet America has Trump coming back over the last two weeks.

This is becoming a most interesting USA election.

In that case you'll just have to keep cutting taxes for workers if you don't want them going broke.

I don't think pay rises have anything to do with inflation. It's the money that was printed + the high immigration + low unemployment.

You can't just freeze wages whilst prices keeping going up.

It's just the rich bastards whinging about workers who to them are just numbers.

It's politicians spending on every stupid idea lobbyists throw at them.
But the size of government is getting too big and the lazy fkers get paid too much.

There's a good chance Trump could lose. I'm hearing his ground game of canvassers is terrible. Democrats are killing it with their true believers. Democrats run a better harvest operation.

Really hard to pick this one. My original belief was that Trump wouldn't win. But it's damn hard to tell.

Getting booed in church you would think is endgame stuff for Kamala. Nobody likes her. There's just a large group that hates Trump.

Those swing states are being relentlessly hounded by democrat ground workers though. In no way do I think Kamala is winning campaign wise. She's getting smashed.

Because Mick in this election the Republican candidate has 25 different women on record with statements about sexual abuse. The most recent one from Tracey Williams was routinely dismissed as fake news. No one with two functioning neurons believes Trumps dismissals . As they say it is just "baked into the vote" like a stinking dead rat in loaf of bread. Of course enough people still eat the toast complete with slices of rat because that's they way the go these days.

I'd love to see a decent political candidate run against the Democrats Mick. That is what democracy is about -the contest of ideas and policies.

The sham democrat process that had everyone saying that Biden was running and was capable of running until it was too late to install anyone other than Harriss was nothing more than a powerful corrupt elite ensuring only they had the selection powers.

I get the joke but recon you are better than that same as the Kamaltoe remarks that have been made.

As for selection true Harris didn't go through the pre primaries process but it is up to the parties how they select candidates and TBH Harris was the weakest of the lot Trump should be cantering to victory.

I think Trump will win regardless and should he get his way with tariffs then Australia will get caught in the crossfire.

The big issue with Trump is the unknown knee jerk reactions, in trading thats regarded as open ended unlimited risk.

Vice President Vice President Kamala Harris has seen four Republicans endorse her over Donald Trump in as many days.
Former Arizona Senator Jeff Flake has become the latest high-profile Republican figure to announce they are supporting Harris in November. Flake said Sunday that he wants to back a presidential candidate who represents "a new generation of leadership based not on grievances of the past, but hope for the future."

Flake's support for Harris arrives three days after former Kansas senator Nancy Kassebaum said she is endorsing Harris in the race against Trump.
Kassebaum issued a statement Thursday alongside former GOP Kansas state senator Sandy Praeger and retired federal judge Deanell Reece Tacha confirming their endorsement. The trio said the decision to back Harris over Trump presented a "stark choice" but not an easy one.

"No candidate is perfect, and we do not pretend that we subscribe to all the policy positions taken either by the national parties or any individual candidates," they wrote.

"However, we fervently believe that we must do our part to try to build a brighter future, which is why we will be voting for Kamala Harris and [Minnesota Governor Tim Walz] in this election. We believe they most closely align with the aspirations of Kansans and reflect our rich history of working together 'to the stars through difficulty.'"

Newsweek has contacted the campaign teams of Trump and Harris for comment via email.

A host of prominent Republicans have also voiced their support for Harris and rebuked Trump in the race.
These include more than 100 former members of Congress and national security officials from previous Republican administrations who signed a letter earlier in September calling Trump "unfit to serve again" as president.
Those who signed the letter include former Illinois congressman Adam Kinzinger, Olivia Troye, a former homeland security and counter-terrorism adviser to ex-vice president Mike Pence, and former CIA and FBI director William Webster.

Other former Republican members of congress who signed the Harris endorsement letter are Dan Miller of Florida and Oklahoma's Mickey Edwards.

Ex-Wyoming congresswoman Liz Cheney, who along with Kinzinger sat on the House Select Committee investigating the January 6 attack, has likewise endorsed Harris.

Her endorsement was soon followed by one from her father, former Republican Vice President Dick Cheney.
"In our nation's 248-year history, there has never been an individual who is a greater threat to our republic than Donald Trump," Cheney said in a statement. "He tried to steal the last election using lies and violence to keep himself in power after the voters had rejected him. He can never be trusted with power again."

Other Republicans who have endorsed Harris include Jimmy McCain, the youngest son of late Republican Senator John McCain, former Trump press secretary Stephanie Grisham and ex-Georgia Lt. Gov. Geoff Duncan.

There are also a host of GOP political figures who formed the "Republicans for Harris" coalition to help the vice president win over voters across the country.

These include John Giles, mayor of Mesa in Arizona, and former Arizona state representative Robin Shaw.
Former secretary of defense Chuck Hagel, former secretary of transportation Ray LaHood, and ex-treasurer Rosario Marin are also working to help Harris in the race.
The other former GOP Congress members who have endorsed Harris are:

• Tom Coleman of Missouri.
• Dave Emery of Maine.
• Wayne Gilchrest of Maryland.
• Jim Greenwood of Pennsylvania.

I think Trump supporters are genuinely behind Trump 100%

Democrats are behind their shtty political machine and ideology. They have become closer to a religion. They like to say "maga is the cult" but I'd disagree. Leftist group think has been discussed for a long time. It's only this last year I've seen an awakening among some left leaners back to more centrist positions. They went batsht crazy for a while

Maga is more like fanboys of a rock star. The concept of what/who they are is just based loosely around the amendments. But primarily its around Trump. They are not fully invested on a belief system beyond freedom from government. It has shifted this last year to more crazy takes though.

That's why I believe democrats have a very real chance of winning the ground war. They are like worker ants with a single purpose. Their structure is easier to take advantage of and we see it with all of the billionaires throwing hundreds of millions into it. But their canvassers are top of their game (and often bordering on the grey area of illegality). Backed with an almost feverishly religious zeal that they must save humanity with shtty dem policies.

Trump campaign is being out spent 2-1 and its still close. I think I saw that he might win the popular vote. That's as real as it gets.
I think it's better for the US if Trump wins. Probably not the rest of the world.

It won't be good for the poor and middle class if trump wins, they will take a hit to real income from the tariffs adding 10% to the price of goods The cash obtained from them is to be used to fund tax cuts for companies and the top tax bracket. They will suffer.
Won't be good for Europe.

Might be good for Australia though if we can avoid the trade wars. might make our rare minerals more important as China restricts theirs. China may pivot to us and trade beef ect. through Australia. we will get all the cheap goods the other trade blocks can't sell.
