Have developed an interest in 'Motivation' recently.
Now - we all learnt about Maslows hierarchy of needs etc. at uni, but what has interested me more is the difference between self motivated folks and unmotivated folks in terms of achievement of their personal goals, dreams etc. There's no doubt in my mind that a little motivation - wherever it comes from - goes a hell of a long way. AND equally, a lack of motivation is a great problem in our society. (including myself at times!)
I have seen some good motivational sayings posted on wall and in e-mails lately - so I wondered if ASFers might like to post their favourite Motivational phrases or sayings.
Or just discuss motivation in general. (without posting the whole wikipedia entry on maslow !!!
).
Here's a phrase to kick off - saw it in a cafe today...
He who works with his hands - is a labourer.
He who works with hands and mind - is a craftsman.
He who works with hands, mind AND heart - is an artisan.

Anyone care to add or comment.
