Probably because left wingers are great at distributing other people's money, but not their own. This may mean that inherently (most, not all) we are right wingers, but a certain portion put on a facade of feigned generosity and egalitarianism so long as it doesn't effect them or demand anything of them. However, once they become the potential source of the largesse to be distributed, their attitudes quickly change.

Would that be why, left wing pollies don't pay tax on their pensions, even if they are less than preservation age?

Or do the left wing pollies, elect to pay tax as per the 'working class man'.lol
