Missing Cat

sorry to hear that crackaton. Lots of cat lovers in my family so I've seen it happen before, never good to see someone lose a pet(even if it is only temporary), and yes some of them DO come home after awhile. last time it happened in my household, the little furball had been roaming around a yard down the street which had a dog, which chased her,and she ended up hiding in their shed for a week. Poor little thing was covered in grease and oil when we found her.
If your cat doesn't come home, I'm sure you have alot of things to remember it by- claw scratchings in the furniture and flyscreens, stains on the carpet from coughing up furballs and gardens that have been destroyed by digging around the roots of a plant after going to the toilet. Gotta love the little furry buggers, don't you :D

Thanks for all the comments guys. Oh well I guess it just didn't like me as an owner. Never mind, it just turned up one day on the door step. Maybe it got jack of my lifestyle and went back to its original owners or found a better opportunity elsewhere. I'm not a big cat fan but it was pretty cool, siamese i think, looked a bit like a rat. At least it used to catch the cochroaches and other creepy crawlies. Fairwell BatBrain lol

Maybe it's with its' pals like these. (Note the cat in the middle is using the dog's leg as a pillow.) It's a real photo by the way. Circa 2000 but only the middle cat "Gonzo" is still living. The reason for all being so close together is that there's a heater immediately to the left of the photo.

Since we're showing pets.... Here are my dogs. I've got some more but they're Hunting dogs.... Red Tick Coon Hounds.... and I don't let them run loose unless they are on a mission.lol

btw.... those collars on them are "Invisible Fence" collars.

Anyone recognize the one with a "nine" on her eye?

Nice to see a Blue Heeler or "Australian Cattle Dog" there!

All you need now is a Kelpie! ;)

And my little cat ;)

She has a diamond and gold collar of course....

Can just see you strolling the streets with that baby, Prospector. No unwanted advances then, eh?

If this turned out to be funny thread, I reckon, missing elephant would be easier to find.

lol "BatBrain" returns. Stupid cat, must of got fed up with all the rain. Was hiding under the car this morning and ambushed me on my way to work. Look's like it might have been in a bit of a scuffle, few scratches around the ears. Thanks to all concerned posts, the whole thread been a bit of a laugh.

p.s. Some might ask why i would call a pet BatBrain. Well one day I came home and it had managed to catch a fruit bat. Whether the bat was dead or alive prior to BatBrain finding it is a mystery. Strange cat.

looks wet to me :D

Hi twojacks,

Honestly looks more like a long-haired chihuahua to me! (Hope that's not offensive.)

Does anyone know exactly why dogs have such a pathological need to chase cats? My 3 year old German Shepherd is overall obedient and well trained, but it all goes right out the window if she sees a cat - takes off like a rocket after the furry thing.
Don't think there's much danger of her actually catching one - they usually fly to the top of a fence or up a tree.

Yet plenty of dogs and cats live happily together as shown in photo earlier on this thread.

Any suggestions as to how I can persuade my girl that cats are not suitable prey???

crackaton, I am glad you got your cat back. We dont have kids so our dogs are our little girls and I know how my wife and I would feel if anything happened to them.

Julia, I think the chasing cats is a teritory thing if they dont grow up together. When ever a cat or a small dog goes past my two they get a bit excited too. We just call them happy meals on legs.

Julia,
Carla is a beauty! Nice shot too, animals really seem to have 'character', or do we humans try to ascribe our characeristics to everything?!! 'Anthropomorphism'???

Julia you have a lovely dog. Our two are six years old. Tayla on the left and Shadow on the right. They are great I couldnt imagine what it would be like without them.

They are both sisters from the same litter. Generally very well behaved but sometimes I think they dig holes just to give me the sh*ts.
