Merry Christmas 2018

Merry Christmas everyone!

I'm not a frequent visitor or a big investor but I do enjoy the time I spend on here, the only forum I am part of where political and moral discussions (for want of a better word) can take place in a reasonably civilised and adult manner. (I've recently abandoned another forum I was on where they childishly isolated those of us that did not share the dominant political view  ).

Wishing you all a safe and happy festive period and happy and properous 2019 :)

I want to take this opportunity to say Merry Christmas as well (to each & everyone)

@Miss Hale some frequent ASF for the Educational Value others for Entertainment Value

The ones who stay, stay for the community spirit.

I would like to wish @Joe Blow a Merry Christmas but I'll restrain from do so - it maybe construed as sucking up to him as I want to win the BIGGEST competition prize ever offered here on ASF - renaming the 'Dump it here' thread.

My Suggestion - but there have been better
# Trading - Help & hints

After some of the post in "Dump it here" thread my suggestion (# Trading - Help & hints) no longer represents the content.

Skate.

Ah Christmas time again. Take care all. Enjoy it without being total pigs. (which is so hard...) Think/help others who aren't as fortunate. They might even like a late invitation to a an unexpected Christmas lunch.

And many thanks to Joe for steering the challenging ship of ASF. I do think it has become less strident and more nuanced in the past few months.

Cheers

Good thanks SirRump. Still sorting of course but the tranquility of this area is great. An amazing feeling recently when driving about the farm and area where I grew up. Schoolmate names popped up, catching up with some and just having a great time.

Merry Xmas all and best wishes for the new year.

I have definitely learnt a lot from ASF in the last 12 months and hope to learn even more and hopefully contribute a bit more!

A Very PC Celebration

At this time of the year it’s difficult to know what to say without offending someone. So I’ve checked with my legal adviser and on his advice I wish to say the following to all friends and colleagues.

Please accept with no obligation, implied or implicit, my best wishes for an environmentally conscious, socially responsible, low stress, non-addictive, gender neutral celebration of the winter solstice holiday, practised with the most enjoyable traditions of religious persuasion or secular practices of your choice with respect for the religious/secular persuasions and/or traditions of others, or their choice not to practise religious or secular traditions at all.

I also wish you a fiscally successful, personally fulfilling and medically uncomplicated recognition of the onset of the generally accepted calendar year 2019, but not without due respect for the calendars of choice of other cultures whose contributions to society have helped make our country great (not to imply that Great Britain is necessarily greater than any other country) and without regard to the race, creed, colour, age, physical ability, religious faith or sexual preference of the wishee.
By accepting this greeting, you are accepting these terms:

This greeting is subject to clarification or withdrawal. It is freely transferable with no alteration to the original greeting. It implies no promise by the wisher to actually implement any of the wishes for her/himself or others and is void where prohibited by law, and is revocable at the sole discretion of the wisher. This wish is warranted to perform as expected within the usual application of good tidings for a period of one year or until the issuance of a subsequent holiday greeting, whichever comes first, and warranty is limited to replacement of this wish or issuance of a new wish at the sole discretion of the wisher.

Merry Christmas to all.
