Not sure about space but it's definitely visible from the top of Mt Wellington and also from a few points across the other side of the River Derwent.

There's a possum that normally walks along the back fence at night - it knocks the occasional light out of place but no issues apart from that. This possum is a brush tail but I've previously had ring tail possums around - for reasons I'm not sure of they seem to be particularly fond of the red globes (but not other colours) and sit next to them when they're on. I assume they like the warmth and are attracted to the red ones for some reason.

Only other issue is those lights in the bedroom window. About 700 bulbs in the window and they do light up the room quite well. :)

Thankyou Smurf , you have brightened our lives here at the top of Lenah Valley. Your lights are putting on a great show across the river Derwent with the backdrop of the hill behind . :) Sitting back on the deck tonight with a red and watching them flash.
Merry Xmas to all , thanks to people like Joe, GG , Julia and Bunyip and others that have made each day a little less boring.:xyxthumbs

You can watch all night if you like. They're on until 5am tonight. :D

We could use this as a means of communication. Morse Code across the river using flashing lights......

Merry Christmas everyone! :)

WWAAAKKKKEEEEE UUUUUUPPPPPPP EVERYBODY!!!!

SANTA'S BEEN!!!!

Happy festive season to those whom choose to celebrate something or other at this time of year, and to those whom abstain from any festivities or observances, may you have a most enjoyable time in your abstentions.

I heard someone (customer) in Kmart today saying that they ought to start putting Easter eggs out for sale now that Christmas is over. Sadly, I'm not joking. Eastlands store late this morning.

If they're going to put Easter eggs out now then they may as well start stocking up on Christmas trees for next year while they're at it. Get in early....

On a positive note, doing the rounds of various shops today I've come back with plenty of extra lights for next year. :D
