Support Aussie Brands.
And they go broke.
OR
They make the hard call and in the name of Survivorship move off shore.

Government over tax, over regulate and throw money around like its a party,I would argue irresponsibly.

When is this country going to realise where the problem really does lie, lack of leadership and making the hard call.
Think he's in the air somewhere off to the next chin wag.

They really have NO IDEA and their only plan is to follow concencus of opinion.Destruction of a AAA rated country in less than a year. Talk is 30 yrs to surplus---if we dont go broke in the meantime.

I agree with your sentiment, but I think there are other Western countries which will/would go broke before Aus (not that thats a good thing...)

The crucifying problem with Labor Governments is that they have absolutely no idea how to run a business! Yet we hand over the coffers of the country for their safe keeping. This is fine when all is good with the world, but now?

Before election, majority was chanting for change and they got it.
Now they got few handouts and if wheels don't fall this gravy train this term, we might even have them one turn more.

It is extremely difficult to do what is right for the country when people have democratic right to reject it.

Precisely. And a great many voters are dumb enough to reject anything even remotely sensible.

Funniest thing I've heard in a while was someone who thought it was "bluff" about the state of the economy, government finances and so on. He's a perfectly decent person, but talk about heads in the sand...

For a lot of people not much has changed, so they think it is all still ok. No doubt that many are saving a bit harder. And I noticed they have dusted off Paul Clitheroe and put him back on tv. So we must be in hard times

As markets fell, and fell, and fell, Paul Clitheroe kept saying on his radio broadcasts that it was a great buying opportunity. He assured his devoted audience that there wasn't too much to worry about.
He has at least since then admitted he got it very wrong.
Doesn't seem to have stopped him continuing to make unsubstantiated declarations about the future.

Funny how he is brought out on tv during recession like environments. Then packed away once bull markets start. Perhaps we need to add the Clitheroe indicator.

Re: Kleenmaid--Pacific Brands---Un Employment---Inept Government

Paul Clitheroe quote ""It's not timing the market that's important, it's time in the market"

As for the Rudd Government I totally agree, they have been consistent in getting it wrong and now with a fist full of dollars there going for broke.

"It's not timing the market that's important, it's time in the market"

An old bandied around clich'e used mostly by Financial planners to quell the masses when things turn sour.

I prefer this one from Radge (who got it from someone else I'm sure).

"Being wrong isnt the problem.
Its how long you stay wrong which is!"

What?? Are you trying to tell me that I should vote for a government that TELLS me to SAVE and live within my own mean? Are you telling me that the party is over? Sorry, but I wouldn't vote for any sensible politician who cannot keep that dream up. We want more hand outs and more jobs! If they can't do it, then sack them! If interest rates don't go down, sack them! If I lose my job, it's the government fault so sack them! If I lose my home, SACK THEM!

A single person is rational and intelligent, but a group of people is plain stupid.
