Hi Kennas,

I am trying to be restrained today and could not work out if todays candle was signaling a continuation of the trend or a dojo the end of a trend. I was wondering if anyone had a view that may help in my future decision making.

Thanks
bux

Broke through the $1.20 resistance in August and you'd expect that to then be support on the way back down, but failed. Back to $1.00 support area.

Maiden MRE out today. Been waiting for ages for this. Are rare earths still the flavour of the month? Will put this in the rare thread as well.

This Dr Fang character is doing well out of Hyperion.

He's invented the HAMR tech and GSD process, which HYM have bought, and now he's sold Blacksand to them...

Hope he knows what he's doing.

Lots of consolidation since the breakouts in Apr and Aug, now just going sideways, and now hitting some support again. Been an amazing return for a couple of years, but not so good last 9 months. Certainly in the right field at the moment.

Now on a different level of support around the same line at 90-93c but still tracking medium term sideways with no clear sign of life for a next push up. News out today on recovery rates and processing. I wonder when the next leg up for these guys is. Plenty of news flowing with the right asset at the right time but just going nowhere in particular at the moment.

HYM is one of the companies I have entered in the CY 2022 competition
I have held HYM for a while now and the management appears to be positioning the Company for an interesting future. They talk about process's for coatings that are far beyond my simple understanding but their operations appear to be situated in the hub of the US for the industries they are Targeting.

I like, and am very interested in this too bux, but I just don't understand the market enough to assess it's current or future potential value. It's why I've been bashing my head missing the lithium run. Just didn't understand it enough to even take a punt. Need to research it more.

usually when these little fellas change names, a whole lot more happens. Refocus, sell off the silver, capital raise, head inentirely new direction. But in this 'age of transformation' anything can happen.

From the latest statement:
IperionX’s mission is to be the leading developer of low carbon, sustainable, critical material supply chains focused on advanced industries including space, aerospace, electric vehicles and 3D printing. IperionX’s breakthrough titanium technologies have demonstrated the potential to produce titanium products which are sustainable, 100% recyclable, low carbon intensity and at product qualities which exceed current industry standards. The Company also holds a 100% interest in the Titan Project, covering approximately 11,100 acres of titanium, rare earth minerals, high grade silica sand and zircon rich mineral sands properties in Tennessee, United States.

has been moving up. The Ford news saw a June jump.

...though it soon lost that

...further news a few days later had little impact:

UL recycled content validation is important as titanium metal powder for additive manufacturing can only be used a limited number of times before quality is impacted by contaminants or inferior powder morphology. Out-of-specification titanium powder increases the probability of defects which jeopardize the structural integrity of additively manufactured components. Additionally, titanium metal produced by the standard “Kroll Process” is energy intensive, high cost, high carbon and is hindered by low levels of circularity. The current manufacturing process for titanium products generates large volumes of titanium waste that is downcycled to the ferro-titanium market or shipped to landfill.

In contrast, IperionX titanium is low-carbon with zero scope 1 and 2 emissions. IperionX can uniquely use 100% scrap titanium as feedstock to produce high performance, low-carbon recycled titanium metal via a circular supply chain that doesn’t rely upon mined resources. IperionX recently completed a life cycle assessment for its 100% recycled, low-carbon titanium metal.

This LCA confirmed that IperionX’s titanium has the lowest quantified life cycle carbon footprint for commercial titanium powder, with a potential life cycle carbon footprint of just 7.8 kg of carbon dioxide equivalents (“CO2e”) per kg. This forecast carbon footprint is over 90% lower than competing titanium powders produced from plasma atomization, 80% lower than from titanium ingot produced from the Kroll process, more than 50% lower than aluminium ingot, and near equal to stainless steel ingot.

Hello all,

I found an article many of you may be interested in. Author discusses the new titanium Iphone 15 and speculates the potential partnership between Apple and Iperion X (IPX). Iperion X is a titanium manufacturing company based in America, with multiple patented technologies aimed at recyclable titanium production. Iperion X (IPX) is listed on ASX and NASDAQ. Keen to hear your opinions.

not in the limelight, but IPX was highlighted recently as a large holding in a small cap fund.
.

The company’s core technology helps produce high-performance titanium alloys, from minerals and scrap using less energy and at a lower cost than existing methods.

James McDonald of Pengana topped up his holding as recently as May and between the dual Nasdaq and ASX-listed stakes, IperionX now accounts for around a quarter of the fund.

It’s the wonder metal. Stronger than aluminium, lighter than steel and more corrosion resistant than stainless steel – if it was cheaper, we’d use a lot more of it,” he says.

The problem with titanium is it bonds so quickly with oxygen so it’s very difficult to manufacture. This really just simplifies that process.”

The metal is estimated to have a $4 billion global market, but with companies like IperionX bringing down the price of production that could soon grow, says McDonald.
