However, reading through your forum it seems that
4.)particularly the concern that it takes 2-3 weeks to transfer from a Chess monitored account to IB (which can at times like this become an expensive hobby),
5.)and that I due to the change over from a Chess monitored account to IB become subject to GCT for all my stocks?

4. Why not just leave current trades with current brokers? Then just open all new trades with IB. This is what I have done, too much hassle to transfer other trades to them.

I have been a happy IB customer for a few months now, but still unsure of a couple of things:
1) When a company makes a non-renounceable rights offer, how do I go about taking it up? In particular, I own Goodman Group (GMG) at present and would like to take up their offer when it opens at the end of this week.
2) For tax purposes, do I need to consult the relevant company websites to get franking/CGT distribution information for ASX companies that I own and have paid out dividends?
hello people,
a few years back I had problems with IB uploading the partially filled orders in the morning.
instead of staying at the top of the qeue with my partially filled order, the next morning I was at the bottom of the qeue. Steve (Hongkong director) was so kind to step in at the time.
now I`m back trading ASX stocks and the same thing happens again.
placed a AEX sell order @ 0.005 for 500,000 shares, got to the top of the qeue and sold 81,600 of them and the next day the remainder of the order (418,400) must be somewhere near the bottom of the qeue; well at least not in the top 10 `cos I can see those orders.
I just sent them a ticket, but has anybody else this problem or is IB singling me out
Hmmm, any reason why my position would be immediately taken out? Had an order in on the ES tonight, right clicked the buy column, with which I have an auto stop attached, order filled, then it immediately took me out, stop was miles away. I don't understand, anyone shed some light on it for me?
Sh*ts me off when its a good setup too.
Got filled @ 6.2c but because I messed up the stop price it automatically sold my parcel straight away as it was below the stop and above my limit price
Everyday around this time (~2pm) my TWS makes the "lost connection" noise. It last for several minutes before the thing refreshes and goes back to normal.
I am guessing some server re-set in the states or something like that?
Just curious if anyone has the same issue?

I'm having trouble with some order executions with IB. Recently, orders have taken an age to turn up in the queue and I even have troubles with MARKET orders being executed. Shouldn't market orders be executed immediately if there sufficient depth to fill it?
The little STATUS column indicates the order is on the exchange but it ain't been filled and the price keeps changing.
This has happened a few times in the past two or three weeks.
Anyone else seen these issues?
A.
Hi, i think this is the same issue i reported here
https://www.aussiestockforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=17044
the problem is the ceiling/floor appears to be set for 10% change per day, so if a stock goes above/below these limits, all orders are delayed, IB operate an automatic filtering system even market orders are delayed, to me this is a serious issue and has put me off IB to be honest.
Its a pity because you might get into a great position and then want out but cannot get out, until you get through and convince someone at IB to change the limit and allow you trade.
