Anyone done any of their own tax when it comes to dealing with instalment warrants. I am catching up on taxes and have warrants issued by Macquarie and ABN Amro and both have quite different statements which doesn't help the issue.

You should get a statement for the last FY from the warrant issuer.

They usually arrive around end of Aug to Sept, I haven't received mine yet from any of three issuers.
It will spell out all of the costs/interest etc.

It takes them a while to work out how much they have made from you in the last year and then they head down to the pub to celebrate :( :D

Yeh I am not sure if the statements are the same but I am talking about warrants I held in 2003-2005. I have no problem understanding and seeing the interest deductible/s and refunds but then some Macquarie warrants have a put option base and cost base factor. ABN Amro warrants have a 'capital component'. Obviously these terms are to do with working out your CGT implications but it is not clear from their statement how to go about doing this. Of course I have also complicated the matter for myself by purchasing some via conversion from shares, some from the left over money and some via my online broker....
