Important People Who Died Recently

Aviation pioneer Max Hazleton has died in Orange aged 95.

He founded Hazleton airlines in the 1950s which went on to become Rex airlines, the largest regional carrier outside of Qantas.

RIP Max.

First Jim, now Max. Two great aviator pioneers.
Mark Nelson wrote a great book, called Born to Fly about the Hazeltons.
Well worth a read.

Fr Bob. part Billy Connolly, part Mother Theresa, part angry Old Testament prophet.
Bit of a legend in Melbourne.

The indescribable Barry Humphries , Australia's most famous entertainer I would venture, dies at 89.

We won't be the same without him and his creations.

I thought he was a bit sick from the op but was OK. I have nothing but the greatest admiration for him. A comic of the highest order. I saw him do his Sandy Stone character and it was intellectually incredible as well as funny. Dame Edna on TV was just so good.

He had a retrospective a few years ago and at it he said that he was having it because the worms that would consume him when he died had already hatched.
He could always hit the mark.
Vale, a genius has left this world. ?

Sylvio Burlisconi.
Whatever you think about him, he was one out of the box. An amazing person.

Hmm wasn't he as bent as a dog's hind leg.
If put on a rack of yesteryear would have been some trouble getting him straightened.
Yea, and the bunga parties etc. But if you look at his zest for life and what he achieved he was incredible. Some things he changed needed to happen. Plenty of bad stuff too, obviously.
