I am absolutely sure she does, and the whopping penalties she received. Probably the most qualified person to talk on the cost of unaccepted 'behaviour'.
All her offences were pretty minor by todays standards. I really do think young Nick (and Barnard) could learn a lot from having a chat with Dawn. That experience Dawn suffered FAR outweighs that her comment was racist. she already had a truckload of medals, them boys aint got there yet. She has apologised for the comment being construed as racist. Wonder if we see the humble acceptance from Nick and he gets on with the game.
He looks the making of a legend. If they had a jumper on with any footy code and tried that stunt - wouldn't be playing next week!
LOL at it "being construed as racist". If she wasn't intending to be racist she's an idiot.
Ya gotta laugh.
HE finds Dawn Frasers Comments offensive.
HE cant comprehend how HIS comments are Offensive.
Irony.
Think before opening mouth---(The first time).
Why? Isn't Tomic white caucasian, then again isn't that racist there is asian in ' white caucasian'.
$hit I'm white caucasian and I thought I was only a Pommie Bastard, christ you ar$eholes are racist, and I'm white.
So you're racist if you call a pommie , a pommie.lol
I think you get a pass if you say something racist that's directed at those of the same race as you. Like African/Black people can say and use the N word, others can't (unless they're a White rap artist like Eminem).
.
So Dawn is only 25% racist, because Tomic is White and Kyrgios is mixed race?
Or is Dawn not being racist, and just saying Tomic and Kyrgios are sooks, and need to grow a pair?
And if they can't grow a pair, go and find someone else to represent, we have plenty of prima donnas already.
It was a racist remark. But is she racist? I don't think she was.
She was just being old, acting her age?
What's racist about telling Tomic to go back to where his parents came from?
I wouldn't take the parents bit literally.
She probably group them together, but telling them to go back to where they came from wouldn't make sense since she knew they were born here. Who knows.
Fact is, you can't tell people to go back blah blah... It mean you do not think here is their home, that they're a foreigner... and it's somewhat worst knowing they were born here then tell them that even though they're born here, they're not Australian.]
SO WHAT'S RACIST ABOUT IT?
Sorry for shouting, but it is all so frustrating, and as usual full of politically correct BS.
No wonder Australia is going down the toilet, no one can tell the truth anymore, the FW's have gagged us.
Also the papers are full of useless reporters, that want to churn out cheap crap.IMO
The only good thing, is when we are broke sitting on the street, they will be sitting right along side of us.
Actually if I was Dawn Fraser, I would seek legal advice, as to whether there was grounds for a slander case against the media.
Seriously?
OK then.
It was a racist remark. But is she racist? I don't think she was.
She was just being old, acting her age?
Old people, and White older people in general, have seen a lot of changes in race relations through their life. I mean, not that long ago they couldn't catch the same bus as the coloured people and stuff... so seeing them as also Australian and maybe almost as equal, that's quite a lot of tolerance. And I'm not being smart about it either.
When I'm that age, if I'm still alive, I'm sure I'll embarrass the heck out of the grand kids with some of the stuff I'd say.

I'm not sure the coloured segregation is something that is applicable in Australia, although there were bars in places like Kalgoorlie where the women were preferred separated from the men and blacks, the blacks separated from the white fellas a long way back.
Sometimes it takes a blunt attack , delivered by someone venerable, to put the young in their place. Traditionally it's the great Aunt's role.
What's racist about telling Tomic to go back to where his parents came from?
