Hey guys!

Long time, hows everyone been?

I've been on holidays for ages now but am back and am starting to settle down and get back into the swing of things

interesting times we're living in hey?

once in a hundred year correction they say, meh buggered if I know

Like everyone else I did my balls hard and gave back about 40% of my wealth from the peak, but I need only look back 5yrs to see how far I and I'm sure most have come since then to realise its all about ying and yang, ie we had such a run up over the last few years that this correction should to most when its done present the buying opportunity off a life time (buggered if I know when it'll bottom)

Just been living off bank interest and a few trades here and there

Hope everyones been well

YT, we've missed you, welcome back!

Ahhh its good to be back,

Took a real long holiday for like 3mths and travelled the world, really needed it cause towards the end of last year things just got way too depressing, not for me so much but more so the fact that I spent way too much time surrounded by suicidal depressed investment bankers. I mean my god some of these guys they way they were behaving its like they had lost their whole family etc so just really needed to get away from everything and everyone investment related.

Its amazing what time away can do, it just gives you such a fresh perspective on things, doing my best to stay away from the brokers and bankers they are still in sad depressed mood though not as bad as last year

Like I said, I view it as whenever this mkt bottoms we will have the buying opportunity of a life time! (but buggered if I know when that is, I'm just a mug)

ps nice work nun, guess it was just me then ; p

YT you were always, and assume still are fundamental trader specializing in miners and resource stocks. I recall you had an interest in the charts but hadn't done a whole lot with them, just wondering if you have had time to learn more about the technical side of trading to complement your fundamental studies?

Cheers,

CanOz

YT - fantastic to hear from you again.

The Chinese keep buying our resource stocks and projects. There is future life in the resources story for sure. Those that can survive will prosper.

No idea about the 'when'.

LOL nah .if the truth be known i sold out before the peak so missed out on a great deal of cream also ......

Yeah I pretty much gave back the cream from like May-Sept 08, it did taste good though sighhhhhhh

Honestly not really, just been doing alot of liver damage for the last few months, but it is something I will definately beef up on during this quite period

Yep agree 100%, when it all resumes the key will be to find the FMG's and PDN's of tomorrow and stocks with enough cash to see them through for 2yrs+ and a good project will be the clear winners

The world is still turning, oil although alot cheaper is still getting harder to find, just like most commodities

All this commodity crash has done is ensure the next upswing will be even more violent, ie how many resource companies are shutting down/scaling back operations, slowing exploration etc etc so supply is being reduced heavily and remember it takes time to bring supply on so when demand does pick up again (assuming the world doesn't explode or get taken over by Space Apes) there will be a lag for supply to come on (just my thoughts)

Hi YT..

Good to see your refreshing perspective back on here.

A few of the "familiar" names are making a comeback I notice on my watch-list. CVN for example is having a nice run today.

Welcome back YT, Noticed you missing from the forum.
Your helpful fundmentals have be missed, however pushed me in finding my own feet a little.

Hopefully this market turns arround soon but for now hope your holiday was enjoyable and may a few good trades happen over the next few months plenty still arround.

Welcome back YT! Good to see you still had enough dough to keep you going for 3 months holiday overseas:D

Still waiting for LOD to come back maaate, and it is as we speak. Its Got some of that CSG I hope in one of those Queensland Basin thingos. Gunna be the next PES:D

PS: This is not a ramp although I do own LOD which YT said was 'Farkin Cheap' when I bought it.

I didn't really take much notice with the speckies back then YT but did enjoy your FA and passion about some stock. Looking forward to it again, and the sales are on!

Good to have you back!

Since when did you move to London Doc? Far out its been awhile since I spoke to you guys

Still raining all day every day there?

A mate of mine working at Goldmans just got back from there and he looks like a shadow of his former self, really broken.... nothing a bit of sunshine, boozing and beach parties can't fix ; p

Hope you've been well Doc!

ps LOD like most of my portfolio is in a bottom dram on the bottom floor/basement of my building hidden in a dark damp corner, hopefully when the resource bull resumes most of the stocks in that draw are still listed though I'm not holding my breath
