Hanson to run as independent
Former One Nation leader Pauline Hanson says she will announce early in the new year which seat she intends to run in at the next federal election.
Ms Hanson, who is promoting an autobiography about her controversial career, has decided to make yet another bid for politics.
She says she will run as an independent and her election platforms will include water and immigration issues.
"I think everyone would be surprised at who my support does come from," she said.
"I'm pulled up on the streets by people who are clearly from another country by the language that they speak and fully support me.
"They've come here for a better way of life and they can see that this country's turning into the places they've left."

First, there is no way that Pauline should ever have landed in jail.
However, she seems to have become quite a linguist since her 'please explain'. She now not only understands people who speak another language but knows they support her!
Further, about her claim that people from Africa come spreading disease, if she had any idea about the hurdles these people must jump through (courtesy DIMEA) she would not even have opened her mouth.
It is probably a very sad time for Australia that I suspect she will receive much support now. Shame.

I agree. I think she will do OKi think the present climate is abosulutely perfect to make a comeback...

Did you ever taste her chips?
She can fill the odd vacancy in Fiji's parliament, and her speech would be well in place!nioka said:Read Pauline's maiden speech to parliament. It is quite different in it's content to the distorted interpretation given out by the media and the three government parties. Whether or not we agree with her views is not important. It is important that she be allowed to express them and if enough people agree with her then she should be allowed to take them to parliament. That is democracy. Do you want it any other way?
P.S. I got a copy of her speech and have read it carefully. As for the fish and chips, A few "ordinary" battlers in parliament would not hurt. Most of them are at least honest.
