Ive started sim trading and on recommendation from a member got a trial of Zen Fire through Mirus Futures. Its great but the only problem is there's no access to Asian or Australian futures markets.

After looking through the site is saw Norgate was recommended but from what i can see its only EOD data. Id like live Intra Day data.

Anyone got recommendations? and im using Ninjatrader.

I think that you can get live intra day data from IB and connect this to Ninja. Give then a call and let us know.

IB is the go for comprehensive data covering just about all exchanges though Zenfire is said to be better but is limited in its coverage.

is it possible to just get IB's data feed without creating an account?
Unfortunately no and their minimum account balance is $10k US:eek:
Although I think you can open an account for $2.5k through a sponsoring broker such as Kinetic but of course you will pay extra spread anyway.

Depends on what you want to trade.
You can switch on and off each month that which your not involved in.
For around $300 a month I dont think thats expensive.
Seriously that sort of $$s take a few minutes to capture OR lose on futures.

Fark me Tech thats expensive but agree trading some future contracts $300 dollars can go very quickly, when I traded only futures I just had norgate EOD to take a look at the big picture then use IB intraday data to find entrys.

I too am looking for another data supplier. I currently use eSignal for the the K200 and the HSI. They don't have continuous contracts and they don't do depth either. IBs data is just not suitable for the Bid/Ask tools that i use, although its just ok for the DOM. There are still allot of prints in between the bid and offer that are a pain.

CQG is another option, but from what i can tell you can only get their data through AMP futures.

Really? esignal don't have continuous contracts on those?! I thought that's what a big advantage of esignal was, the extra data.

Do Kinetick offer it?

CQG is awesome but yeah not sure how to get it, I had it back when I was in prop from home, but not sure who it was through, pretty sure it wasn't AMP though.

Would be good if IB's data was historical, continuous and tick, not 1 minute.

I have Kinetick for Eurex and CME, no options for Asia.

Maybe i should start another business, for Asian data lol!

Hopeless...says something about how many retail traders are looking for this...

IB's lowest TF is 5 seconds not 1 minute.

Sorry, just realized that my given info is nonsense. IB data feed consists of 100ms or 200ms snapshots. 5 seconds is dead wrong. But downloading historical ms snapshots would take very long time because of IB's download restrictions.

Good on ya Trash for that admission. IBs data could well be the fastest on the block, but its so aggregated its useless for bid/ask or precise tick data.

Unfortunate as they're one of two that provide K200 and HSI data in Asia to retail traders.
