February 2022 Stock Competition Entries!

i bought some extra FMG today @ $18.45 ( cum. dividend ) i ain't even counting a feather on an unhatched chicken in the current market

the first parcel of MND i bought was in Sept. 2021 @ $9.75 , a second parcel in January this year ( @ $8.90 ) , looks worthy ( so far ) of careful accumulation , sadly my tipping success has moved the share price out of target range for a third parcel ( in the near term)

I think I may have missed out on the placings. Tried to get IVR to close at 0.063 in the closing auction but I needed a bigger stick. A bot noticed my attempt and entered an opposing order less 1 share. I cancelled my order with seconds to go and unsurprisingly so to did the bot.

In this dog-eat-dog comp, it may come down to choosing the stock that has no 'bots trading?

Happy for MND .... own several thousand of the company (and have been getting 60% +or- back each year of invested capital, as dividends)

End of the February Monthly Tipping Competition.

Congratulations @divs4ever MND 26.43% in 1st Place who had a relaxing weekend knowing somone had to do something special to take the lead from him. Well done :xyxthumbs

@basilio WIN 13.79% grabbed 2nd Place just in front of @Dona Ferentes CXL 13.64% in 3rd Place. :xyxthumbs

@Tropico JRV 11.72% (4th) and @peter2 IVR 10.71% (5th) just behind the Top 3 and just out of the money this month.

but thanks members .. this was totally unexpected ( i was hoping for more MND about $8.30 )

and well done place-getters and all who participated ( just finishing in the green was a big task this month )

my tip for this month ( BIS ) seems to have jumper too early

am only a recent buyer of MND ( first batch September 2021 )

eyes open folks there are still SOME good stocks at fair prices

take care it could be a MAD March

joe blow is, according to a recent exchange,

in south-east Queensland and have been without power since last night due to downed power lines.

I was asking if he could split the "War Threat in Ukraine" thread to keep it on message and locate the (also IMO important) democracy discussion points into their own topic

And while we're at it, why don't those contributors put in a March comp tip. (neat hook to stay on topic). There for the taking; $100 ... and it's just guesswork. Trust me.

obviously i am in a ( slightly ) drier part of South East QLD ( i can throw a cricket ball into the backed-up waters .. maybe even under-arm )

I'd prefer to win the damn thing.
How can a $9 stock win the monthly comp. I suppose it's better than seeing an ETF win.

btw Notice that Beta is creating more thematic ETFs that IMHO are crap.

and the mathematical improbability of IOZ winning : it represents the top 200 companies, and just one speccie should get up at least once to get ahead of a (very) average compendium

What an amazing finish ! Calix stumbled on the post 4pm trade while the WIN spec hunters added another 5% to WIN the day.

I have been picking WIN for two months now (and have chosen it again for March) on the strength of the specs who continue to push it up in advance of drilling results promised for the first quarter of 2022.

Maybe I'll have to actually buy some more of the damn stock. (That will certainly put the moz on it.)
