CLIMATE CHANGE ( A few quick comments)
I must say, I wish the Greens and Labor were pro-nuclear. It's about the only thing I agree with the Libs on at the moment. Trouble is I don't think Johnny H's heart is in it, and it's a recent addition to his platform (yet another 180deg reversal of attitude), possibly more likely based on wedge politics than anything else (imo).

I'll probably go with Labor and/or Greens, let them try to make windfarms etc work - but in the not too distant future, someone is gonna have to build some nuclear plants in Aus (imo).

Is it more important that China and India go nuclear than us? - yep sure it is. (We are such a minor player here).

Is it important we do something. You bet - we use far more than our share of energy (compared to world average), and contribute far more than our share of CO2 per capita to the problem. (plus waste more than our share of precious resources).

I guess I would be happiest if Labor win the lower house, and with Greens or similar (Global Warming Party etc) holding balance of power in the senate.

HOUSE OF REVIEW
I think the Senate should be held by different party to the House of Reps - only way to get a House of Review.

HOUSE OF GENUINE REVIEW (based on ethics or at least some reason - rather than voting along dictated often illogical or tactical Party Lines)
Without a minor party holding balance of power in the senate, it will be a bunfight with voting along party lines. (imo).

BARNABY JOYCE
What a great job he has done - only man prepared to go against the trend and seriously look at the issues rather than simply do what the party tell him. the only "review" provided by the Senate for the last 3 years has been by the likes of Barnaby Joyce :2twocents
