How do I unsubscribe from CommSecIRESS?
There is no option to unsubscribe with CommSecIRESS. Once you have registered, you may choose not to subscribe for an unlimited period. If you do not subscribe to CommSecIRESS you will not be charged, nor will you be able to access the platform.
I've been trialling it for free. I think it's OK, but IB is more cost effective.
Anyone knows how to unsubscribe from CommSecIRESS? I read the FAQ but I don't get it.
I've been pretty happy with PT1 but looks like at the end of Jan will have to switch over to Iress. The stock price in cents vs dollars and cents for PT will be a gotcha to keep an eye out for.
It also seems it doesn't remember lines drawn on charts or transpose them across to the intraday charts if drawn on a daily/weekly chart. (I find it handy to be able to see lines drawn on a daily or weekly charts when following the intraday charts).
At one stage I couldn't find full course of sales data but it looks like its in there now (not sure if this is new or I just couldn't find it before).
The price/volume histogram analysis screen looks useful. It also looks like there is useful additional stuff like the IV charting etc...
Has anyone got a URL that can be used to launch comseciress straight from the desktop without having to go through a few screens on the comsec page?
Can anyone tell me how many trades per month? Sorry, I'm a bit lazy.....
Hi Guy's,
Just a comment on commsec iress, one minor problem I have at the moment is the requirement to enter a trading password in another screen after a trade is placed/amended/cancelled ect. ; this was also a requirement on the old Protrader (commsec thing). It’s not normally a problem for me but it caused me to trip up last Friday.
I spoke to tech support about provision to disable this feature if the ability to manage a working order in exceptional circumstances is required but I received the same old response.
Yeah,
I had to laugh when I read this on the commsec site, quote “the edge needed in order to take advantage of market opportunities”.
Iress really is a nice platform, and fair enough begineers may need safeguards but surely than can offer the fully worked version to experienced players.
