Thought I would start a thread on this stock as I couldnt find one!

Any thoughts?

Weird chart! Very low volume, infact many days no volume whatsoever, so not good for the traders!

Growth prospects look magnificent!

Discussion.

Re: CNA - Coal & Allied Industries Limited

You might as well buy an investment property because CNA is ridiculously illiquid, beside its owned by Rio Tinto so I guess it could be a nice long-only long-term stock.

ha ha true!

Only difference is I expect coal prices to rise over the next few years (though maybe not in the very short-term?), whereas property prices to fall (or at least struggle to return any decent capital gains)!

However, liquidity is very similar! Wouldnt like to get caught on the end of bad news with this one!

No doubt though, this one could be a long-term stash away! Just looks a bit risky with its liquidity or lack thereof.

19/08/2008 it hit 120...(lifetime high)
6/08/2009 it hit 108.5...
4/10/2010 it hit 112... (yearly high)

Last company news was Aug 16th 2010

It has gained 30% since July (low of 83), Yearly report was nice, and very boring.

my question is does anyone keep an eye on this ?

I know how illiquid it is , but 5 lazy trades for me since July have made up for other speccy mistakes, do people think there is a glass ceiling on this one?
Or are we in a new era of Coal!
