you do not understand @SirRumpole, you are such such a booooomer..The drums of war are beating according to Home Affairs Secretary Mike Pezullo.
'Drums of war': Home Affairs Secretary says 'precious liberty' must not be lost in a message to staff
In an Anzac Day message to staff, Home Affairs Department Secretary Mike Pezzullo says Australia must strive to reduce the likelihood of war "but not at the cost of our precious liberty".www.abc.net.au
Seriously, are we really going to send soldiers into battle over Taiwan against a country of a billion people ?
It's got to the point where the only military solution to Chinese aggression is the big red button.
But when are we going to wake up to the fact that China is expanding on the backs of Western consumers buying their cheap junk ?
We have to cut down their money supply and that means buying cheap junk from elsewhere or making it ourselves.
The West is so stupid.
Can you explain where this "aggression" lies. The drums of war are beating according to Home Affairs Secretary Mike Pezullo.

America and Australia and most of the rest of the world accept a one China policy.
Despite this, American sales of weapons to Taiwan is in excess of $30B over the past 15 years, so it's not hard to see who is stirring the pot.
Taiwan is part of China according to most of the world.Taiwan is not the only country China is menacing. Japan often has their airspace violated and of course we know what China is doing in the South China Sea.
They have a "salami" approach, slice by slice.
Taiwan is part of China according to most of the world.
Airspace violations are controversial as large areas of the East China Sea's Air Defence Identification Zones are disputed.
So you have nothing!

the world danger is western capitalism, we need a reset, stop eating meat, and pretend stopping CC by driving new chinese EVs powered by chinese PV panels, while wearing chinese masks to protect ourself from that evil virus created by global warming .
And then we will reach a nirvana of gender fluid society with equality of outcome especially for non white male..: all starving servant to our new Han masters. LOL
I am sure you (nor my dad and the generation of socialists /left wing in Europe) were not thinking this would lead to this when you were electing labour PMs and fighting racism.
I went thru that for a few years too..
I like to see people able to defend what they post with substance. Are you a Chinese spy rob ?
I like to see people able to defend what they post with substance.
The unsubstantiated claims about China in the media are a worry, and stirring up a yellow peril mentality does nobody any favours.
Would you like me to write a little about where the Xinjiang forced labour idea comes from, so you can again see America at work?
As is, no war needing, the west is killing itself at an unbelievable speed. This exactly, wars are no longer fought in the traditional sense not saying those ideas were seeded by a foreign power but definately china and Russia are doing all they can to feed and strengthen the fire. Divide and conquer
If China is so accepting how come they don't have Mardi gras celebrations or celebrate Muslim minority holidays etc x50 for example?I like to see people able to defend what they post with substance.

Except that this is what is regularly trotted out and is as weak as the claims you made.So when was this, the 1800's ?
The US has moved on, it's pointless comparing the slavery days in the US with what is going on in China NOW.
Muslims and most of the 55 ethnic minorities in China have their own festivals at provincial levels. If China is so accepting how come they don't have Mardi gras celebrations or celebrate Muslim minority holidays etc x50 for example?

If you are going to make strong claims, why aren't you prepared to back them up?

Do you know anything about Chinese culture or are you happy to put your ignorance on display here?
So you and @SirRumpole add to the thread without knowing anything about the topic!Just like the propaganda piece they did on the "education" camps for the Australian media?
Apart from that hard to know when everything is censored and only ccp sponsored content is showed, so I know enough to call bs on it

Well done.
Stump up with facts @SirRumpole.So what are your qualifications that make you so more knowlegible than the rest of us on China ?
Do you think that the treatment of ethnic minorities in China and repression in Hong Kong is all Western propaganda ?
Do you think the crackdowns on journalists in China and the arrest of Cheng Lei is justifiable ?
Just what are you saying ?
come on GG, the only issue with Trump vs China is that he bluntly told them stop ******* us...I am of the belief that Xi's aggressive posturing is in large part due to Donald Trump.
The latter's transactional approach to world affairs and aggressive attitude brought out the latent monster in Xi and changed China's approach to international relations.
Check out this excellent 3 part BBC programme.
BBC Two - Trump Takes on the World, Series 1, Episode 1
In his first year and a half, Trump relentlessly pursues his ‘America First’ agenda.www.bbc.co.uk
