Does anyone else think that CBA have lost the plot with their current advertising agency?
 
Not sure, but yes there are some annoying adds out there!
However the point of advertisements is to get people thinking about a brands product over a competitors product.....
Having said that, the CBA advertisements has obviously had the desired effect considering you went to the trouble to start a thread about it;)

The level of consideration being: The adds are stupid; They used a US agency to come up with something that most Australians will see as stupid; and the point of the message they are trying to get accross is completely lost as the lingering memory is "how stupid are these adds?"
 
Can you refresh our memories on what their current campaign has in it? I have vague memories of an advert where people are looking at a presentation and at the end someone asks if anyone wants to see it again and I think the CBA guy puts his hand up (though its not clear who, or why).

I couldn't make any sense of it and my only thought after seeing the advert was that banks make way too much profit and are completely out of touch with their customer base to fund this sort of stupidity. But heck I'm not in marketing, maybe the fact that it triggered those thoughts means its a succesful result.
