thanks government for incentivizing me to become more self-sufficient

but , but there are so many tutorials on You-Tube just a mouse click away , surely all you need is your phone and app

interesting times ahead

i wonder if this cashless paperless society was dreamed up so trees could have their revenge

Yes, I would also like an answer to this -

Another thing, two of my customers deposited large sums of money by Dierect Debit into my
because you can ( pay your way )

they can pile on all the fees they like but it won't make a difference to bankrupt customers

Another thing I'd like to know, why do some money transfers take between 24 and 48 hours?

Yesterday two different customers transferred payment for services, quite large sums, by Direct Debit and the money left their accounts but I have not received it yet. Where is that money siting?

Just another rort from the financial system.

the short-term money-market , but if really challenged they will probably claim verifying it under the anti-money-laundering act

AnZ seems to be ripping out ATM's and have stopped collaborations with Australia post so you can't deposit there either.

Starting from early next year, Macquarie will cease accepting cheques (including bank cheques) and cash deposits. By November there will be no telephone banking available and its arrangement with the NAB will stop.

Boycott ANZ and Macquarie I say.

They are out of touch with the common Australian, their customers.
Did they learn nothing from the referendum?

A lot of long term Macquarie customers are the elderly... what Muppets.
(Macquarie, not the elderly... they are wise old dears and sire's)

Apparently not a bloody thing. Just like the emu with it's head stuck in the sand. See and hear nothing.

... and a minor moral dilemma
.

at supermarket yesterday, I used the self-scan, card-only aisle and put through $250 of groceries. Scanned 'reward' card and tapped to pay. PIN needed, and transaction denied. Assistant came over, she mentioned that it was broken; rebooted and tried again but no success. So did $199 and $51 entries that both went through. Receipt printed.

Went home, and this morning checked card transactions... No evidence of either of the two payments. Will keep checking but maybe this one's spread around, and the tab picked up by the shareholders?

DF certainly hope that you get a trolley load of freebees. We refuse to use the self scan isles anywhere.
