What plan are you on?
How about speed compared with landline broadband?
Can you use internet telephone eg. Skype?

I'm on a 256/1gb download a moth with Telstra (UNW hadn't started in melb then) Costs about $50 a month - but my gfriend and I always manage to go over limit. Telstra charge 15cents for extra megabyte downloaded. Our first bill with TLS was over $400
I went up to 512/1gb ($60)for a while but didn't notice any difference with speed so I went back down to 256.

Speed is comparable with landlines, but I do live in South Melbourne (inner city)

The thing I liked with UNW was there were no contracts.

I don't know about VOIP with these carriers - I use my mobile as it's paid by work (sorry boss)

Groan,,,,, I live in Adelaide and the only roam plan is Vodafone which my partner has on his laptop. It is as slow as dial up, almost. So am stuck with current plan at the moment!

Prospector, I forgot to say that my wireless internet is on my desktop.
