Buying the Dip on ASX

Missed ANZ @22.5 this morning. As soon as the Buy order placed up it went.
Drifting lower as I type so who knows.

Don't know much about Gold but there is a time Oil will stop dropping. Soon?
have been as lucky as heck with oil plays ( rather than skilled )

BPT is my only top up target ( my av. SP is around 52.5 cents , but will consider sub 80 cents )

nothing really exciting happening on my trading activity today ( so far )

maybe my bids are too low ( i thought the XJO might lose another 100 points today )

I am considering the WLE capital raising, it’s been a decent performer and doesn’t seem to lose value even in uncertain times. anyone got thoughts on this?

In light of heightened market volatility, the WAM Leaders Limited (ASX: WLE) Board of Directors has announced that it is in the best interests of shareholders to cancel the Share Purchase Plan (SPP) and return all amounts to shareholders who participated in the capital raising.

took some profit out of XRF right before the close

other reduction plays seems to have missed the target

Historical M2, actual and previous columns respectively, relatively steady rise as we came into the plandemic, then look at it start jumping...

Below; M2 data points graphed from late 2019. What we don't see is a distribution spread. I see the lower end of the socioeconomic class is already starting to do it a bit tough.

I still don't see a lot of appetite in the small cap space on the asx, looks rather risk averse except for the odd news/announcement related price spike in spec stocks.

Gold is where you find it, as are the small caps. Remember when PLS, LKE, SYA and others were 2 bit small caps? Wasn't that long ago either.
Recently, XSO has seen ~12.6% decline compared to XJO ~9.3% (figures ballparked off charts, exact data not used, estimated tolerance ± 0.3 ) however from very recent trough through to now, the XSO has bounced back with a slightly bigger % than XJO. See chart below.

Just musings though, not debating which world is the better one.

In the small cap space , it's nice when one is holding the risers as one receives "free leverage", and vice versa, get ready for a thumping. ??
That's where your risk aversion comes into play.

Not a bad week overall.
Figure should be 0.4% lower than shown (after adjustment).

i was just a little more active than usual today , with a little bit of cash extraction

i part-filled a reduction order for BFG , sold out of FWD , BEN , PPT and TPG , and reduced APE , ANG , SUN , MIN , SIG , NHC , SNL , WGX , BPT , CLW , EQT , S32 , and SUL ....

with more selling likely in the coming three weeks

i have a nasty habit of being a contrarian , and ( normally ) successfully miss all cycle tops

so please make your own decisions

wow, that's a lot of selling especially while the prices have already gone down !

Do you see further downside or some unforeseen event/s coming into play or deterioration of the economy ?

Gold is where you find it
Agree @frugal.rock Gold has been outperforming most other sectors of late.

There is a bullish flag formation on the chart. If it breaks to the upside, Gold could test the blue skies as all-time-high is very close...

Just been slow to see the action in other sectors in the small cap space until you pointed out those few stocks mentioned...

i wasn't intending to sell at earlier times , previous opportunities ( outside the market ) were lackluster .

however this opportunity came up , and the banks are being difficult SOooooo plan B is to give the banks the finger ( savings , shares and avoiding borrowing from them ... and wear a smug smile when deposits are down , loans are down and profits are down )

hopefully the markets have one and a half days of upward movement ( or more ) so i get to keep a few extra shares

the problem will be what to keep , what to reduce and what to sell/dump

could be an interesting few weeks for me

by the way , my selling ( and reducing ) spree continued yesterday .

i exited QFN , MVB and TWD , completed the part-filled BFG reduction order , and reduced WES , KOV , LAU , ACF , and GTK .

and i have several orders already in the market , with maybe others will be added during the day
