Dear All, I am planning on opening trading account(s) under which I intend trading Australian/US Stocks (equity, index and ETFs), CFDs domestic/international, Currencies, e-mini Futures, gold/oil and Options. While there are a fair few of the local brokers to chose from, ranging from the big players like Commsec, Macquarie, eTrade to many other small boutique ones. Some of them claim to trade all the above mentioned instruments + Options too.

There are many who deal in CFDs - IG, CMC, CityIndex, MF Global... Many for stock and currencies. I have not been very happy with the Options brokers in Australia. OptionsXpress have stopped trading in Aus markets. Recommendations?

I have personal accounts with CityIndex( for CFDs), OptionsXpress and ThinkorSwim (for US stock and options).

I now would want to set trading accounts for my SMSF and family trusts. With the many brokers available, I would like to debate over the best brokers available in Australia before I set up new accounts for the many instruments I intend trading.

Regards

Sridhar

Hi all,

Anyone know the broker who can trade stocks the Singapore Stock Exchange (STI)?

I suppose IB is only for Singapore Indices, Futures Options and Futures.

Thanks in advance.

Not sure about stocks, but if share CFD is okay then you should probably start looking at some of the CFD providers. I know IG markets and Cityindex have Singapore share CFDs

Thanks SilverRanger. But I also believed that IGMarkets and CityIndex only available for Shares CFD (not shares/stocks).
What about online international broker (similar to IB)? Any good broker for Singapore STI?

Hello Everybody.
I need help. I am Hungarian and I would like to trade on ASX with shares and options, but I don't know which broker allows Hungarians to trade . I have about $5-6000 to start.
Thank you for help.

Hi,

I was looking at IB but a couple of questions come to mind:

1. Is it possible to trade in odd lots (i.e. different from 100)

2. Is it possible to have directly a cash settlement for stock options ? (i.e. without actually buying the underlying stock which could blow my tiny :D yet to be account ?)

Thanks.
