Just had this emailed to me I don't subcribe to it and wonder sometimes who comes up with this stuff

October 19 Crash

Monday, October 19, 1987 is known as Black Monday because on that day the Dow fell 22%, its second-largest one-day drop in history. It's coming again, some say tomorrow on ….BLACK FRIDAY!

There are some interesting similarities. The dollar was dropping back in 1987 and is doing so now. Both years are the second-to-last of a Republican administration. Both years are the fifth in a bull market. Both has the unlucky year of 7.

In 1987, the stock market began the year strong, sold off over the august, and began a nice recovery into October. That's the same pattern we've seen so far this year.

Like I say these aren't my thoughts just somthing that got sent to me

Black Friday is Friday the 13th of a month. Tomorrow October the 19th cannot be a black Friday.

Back in 1987 there must have been some signs of the 22% fall. At the moment there are none. I remain sanguine.:)

Thats not one word. It's three.

Sorry I was using Kath and Kim style humour. I am a big fan of the show, especially Trude and Prue.

Living in a wealthy suburb I see plenty of Trude's and Prue's flashing their wealth, it just makes me laugh!

Here is pics of Trude and Prue (Up themselves cashiers can be found at any wealthy suburb)

You only have to take a stroll around your local wealthy suburb to find out the latest fashion trend and let me tell you I have seen enough blonde bob cuts and gold shoes to make me sick:rolleyes:

Back to Black Friday, and my view is we will not see any correction for the rest of this year.

On the ABC news tonight there finance dude said that in 87 the market was 35%
up (including dividends etc) for the calender year

This year we are at 22% i think (he said) so a big difference there.

Also on the news today the US is only 33% of the global economy not
the 50%+ it used to be so events there just shouldn't be as relative to us.
