Joe, what does it mean with this message:

Circumstances are that a thread was created by someone , and I worked out that they were on Ignore. Unignore and the share topic pops up.

Is it that this member is no longer around?

@Dona Ferentes that is the message I get when I looked up the 2 people who have me on ignore so I assume that person has blocked you.
 
Thanks, young Lad. I find it useful looking at the history, last time visited etc of posters to judge if they're legit. The random one-offs are eady to pigeonhole.

I'm getting notification in Alerts, but it's someone replying to or quoting a post from another member, one that I have been active in but so has that other person.

Are you following the thread that these posts are in? When you follow a thread you get notifications/alerts when new posts are added to that thread.

no, I don't follow any specific threads (!)
What has happened is a notification alert that a member has replied to my post, but the actual text is from another member who also posted, around the same time..

Anyone else have problems logging in this morning ? My computer said that the ASF website didn't have proper certification. It unblocked me for 15 minutes but just wondering whats up ?
 
Is it me or is ASF failing to load and is slow?
Took me ages to be able to login, other sites worked fine.

Sometimes its because ASF's server is getting attacked by foreign miscreants. Sometimes its an ISP issue. Sometimes I have no idea what the hell is going on.

Seems OK at my end at the moment.
 
Thanks for the reply Joe.
ASF was OK briefly but is still glitchy my end, very slow to load or fails to load with an error to try again. I'll log out and try a few things my end, will also see if there are any issues with our internet provider.

My gut feeling is that it must be an isolated issue as the site is loading fine for me. It the issue was more widespread there would be more posts in this thread.
