Just been reading about the drought in northern SA where livestock have been left to their own devices and starve to death.
Certainly not good enough.
If they can't be fed and sold, surely a bullet is the answer.
We have been under the pump with our cattle this year with all the stocks dams dry by March and hay very hard to source.
But we have managed to keep them in pretty good condition.
I would love to know who owns these livestock, and or stations that may be involved.
If it is 1st peoples then I bet London to a brick nothing will come of it.
The same happened here in the North-West of WA a couple of years ago

In far North SA much of the land such as Phillipson is owned or leased by mining companies. White Mining Limited sold off their stations on this large tenement, about the size of England, but otherwise have sat on it doing little since 2010. Once owned by Felix Resources ( formerly Auiron Energy and Meekatharra Minerals), since 1986. So much of this land sits there and sheep wander about at will and the farmers do a minimum of work.
The mining company pays its tenement fees and Farmers pay a fee to the mining company. In these baron desert areas, States do not care much and Farmers just sell sheep if it works out and that's that. There are some aquifers where water can be accessed but it means installing pumps and hoses and I expect that's too much bother. Phillpson has a very large temporary Lake.

I do not know what to say as it keeps on happening.
The largest UK stranding is thought to have taken place in 1927 when 126 of more than 130 false killer whales died in the Dornoch Firth in the Highlands.
