As winter approaches, what hobbies are you all into?

I need to get some new ones

Re: What are your hobbies outside of finance/investing

Amateur astronomy is my big one, with all the bad weather in SEQ lately i've found myself looking for something new to get into.

Others are a love of rugby union, reading and bushwalking when i can.

I do love good video games. Currently hooked on Fallout 3 and loved Oblivion a few years ago (both for PC).

Also have started playing guitar again. Never going to be great but its fun and passes the time

Restoring a 1955 B.M.W r25/3.

Also building a model wooden boat my daughter bought for me, I must finish it, she wants it back when its done.

Current hobby....keeping my Labrador pup entertained..... not sure you'd call it a hobby, more like a full time job at the moment :)

Gaming lots of it..in between trades. FPS mostly like Call of Duty series all of them. Currently still playing Fallout New Vegas this is not as good as Fallout 3 which is one of the best games.

some gardening on weekends, playing Holdem Poker online play money only.

Bike Riding
Kayaking and Fishing
Bush Walking and anything to keep fit ...
no point having money if you are not healthy enough to enjoy it :)

Tending my backyard chooks
Quick simple Gaming on iPad and iPhone
Lot of reading (mostly finance related stuff)
Find some nice spot, drink coffee and reading

I try to spend a bit of time on this, great way to clear the head and switch off.

I'm a walker, walk between 6 and 10k a day, love it. Every where I have ever gone i take the time to walk even when touring overseas.:walker: That brings me to my next passion, overseas travel, particularly warm countries during the OZ winter.

Where I shovel mountains of spare cash:

Rollerskating :) I used to take my daughter most weekends but had a bad fall 2 months ago and still not up to going back.

I also love watching DVDs and over winter tend to settle in for the long haul with lots of mini series and movies.
2 fave series here are Lost in Space, some weekends we can watch 5 hours straight. Seinfeld is on continual rerun status.

Drinking wine and champagne are also high on the list of hobbies but that is all year round not just winter.

The picture tells the tale.
Funk. Fusion. Blues. The Stratocaster such an iconic guitar, the vintage models sound best imho. Maple neck here, I like the rosewood better. Comfortably scalloped, easy to play.

NewOrder, I like your taste in TV series. And I like New Order too, and before them the Joy Division.

Surfing. And if I don't get to surf at least once every two weeks I go a bit crazy.

Tomorrow the conditions are looking spot on and it sure beats pressing refresh and just watching your shares go down - what a particularly dull week this one was!

I share the passion.
doing a few Ks a week.
Mine is similar but Red/Black and white.
Nice bike.Not enough gears.

Good to see so many other cyclists here. My bike probably isn't as fancy as those that have already posted theirs, but I'm a fan and it does the 40k round trip to work most does without a hitch
