Merry Christmas To all

AND A Happy New Year...

AND A Traditional time ( Summer SOLSTICE )

Which many cultures have celebrated with holidays, festivals and gatherings.
Often associated with fertility..

"Solstice" is derived from two Latin words: "sol" meaning sun, and "sistere," to cause to stand still. This is because, as the summer solstice approaches, the noonday sun rises higher and higher in the sky on each successive day. On the day of the solstice, it rises an imperceptible amount, compared to the day before. In this sense, it "stands still."

So here is to SOL as well

As the Romans later Called him ''Invictus" --- The Unconquered

So Happy Healthy and Prosperous time to all
with I hope much to CELEBRATE :alcohol:

And my thoughts and best wishes also go to those who, due to all sorts of varying circumstances, may not have the Christmas they would have chosen.

Take care everyone and stay safe...:xmaswave

Nice thought, Sails. There are untold numbers of Australians who dread Christmas.
Let's hope 2011 might be a better year for them.

Wish everyone had an enjoyable Xmas. And to those in Brisbane - we have blue skies today for the first time this month :)

Just want to share with you guys the Xmas present I received...

If you have never sat on one before, go to a shop and try it out... your butt will thank you for it. It's very expensive for a chair, but if you consider that I spend more time on this chair than I do in bed, and that you get a 12yr warranty - it works out only 2-3c per hour.

It's something all desk-bound workers should consider :)
