Rotary Club

My Father was a member all his life.
I had that exposure and met the many "Rotarian's" throughout life.

My personal view was that its a big boys club.
They have good intentions but the meetings I attended reminded me of a poor effort to "Have fun" and be seen to add to the community.

Which I'm sure they do.
If your a clubby type person the camaraderie maybe excellent and you can be doing something worth while to boot.

Left me a bit cold and although invited to join many times I decline.

A very good mate of mine takes great pride in being the president of his club now 3 times in 8 yrs. Obviously fills a need somewhere.

If your curious give it a go for a while.
You'll either hop on a trend or trigger your stop loss.

I've been invited to a few Rotary meetings and have had similar experiences.

I have found better fellowship in Vinnies (St.Vincent de Paul) Conferences.

They have some for younger folk for those of you interested but most are older now.

Its a good way to give something back to the community and the poor in society, battlers down on their luck, the mentally ill, substance addicted and alcoholics.
