Australian (ASX) Stock Market Forum

What concerts are you going/been to?

Metallica/Megadeth/Slayer/Fear Factory/Foo Fighters/Last 2 Gigantours. See a few twice in the last 2-3 years.

2BAD - How you gunna organize trying to score tickets to Metallica? I wouldnt be surprised if they sell out in like 2-3 mins :banghead: So me and my mates are going organise a few of us (on different computers) to try and purchase our tickets all at the same time.

Pre-sale and if that's not an option then just smoke the phone, mobile and three internet connections all at the same time. One problem is Perth usually misses out on some of the big names, so there will be the need for some plane tickets too.

Really really looking forward to The Triffids in February, and Mogwai in March.

Maybe Ryan Adams and The Cardinals as a birfday present for myself next month...

Been a pretty disappointing year for shows really. Future of the Left were absolutely nuts - one for you to see DoctorJ, as they are pretty close to you, but aside from that, pretty bland really.

I couldn't forget The Stray Cats either. :)

Never seen Brian Setzer live so it should be interesting. More two step than you can shake a stick at...

And as always, rockabilly gigs have the best talent in town. Always awesome for a perve.

Super keen to see Ten East (if Brank Bjork likes them they must be good :D) and see the Datsuns on a stage bigger than the East Brunswick Club - somewhere that might do them justice (don't think they'll be headlining the Forum again anytime soon).
Saw The Datsuns tonight for nothing.

I don't know. I guess as straight up rock they do alright. Preferred them a few years back to be honest when I saw them last. The bogans really got into them though.

Desperately need some contrasting songs, and some space in their music, as no matter how tight they are, which they are, you can't tell the difference between their songs.

Going to Kings of Leon. But I try to avoid the big venues as you don't feel the music unless you're lucky enough to be up the front.

Did see Nirvana at the Coogee Bay hotel in 92. The ticket cost only $20. That's pretty hard to beat. They smashed their instruments ala The Experience at the end of the gig. Intimacy of the venue made it hard to forget.

The Salvo Army Band came around the neighbourhood on Sunday asking for cash. They played alright so I gave them a 10er. Seems everyone is looking for cash these days.......

So I went to Meredith on the weekend and I have never been muddier in my life. It was like a scene out of Hamburger Hill (if there are any Vietnam War film afficiados out there).

MGMT were rockin' and and Muscles sounded pretty good from the back of my car (I was in bed by 12:30am as I could take no more rain - soft I know). Datsuns did waht the Datsuns did. Combo La Revolicion had us doing the salsa in the mud pits. Rest was a blur of rain, Carlton Draught and spectacular mud. :D

Here is a photo I lifted from the Herald Scum -

Get stuck in any spike pits?

Get shot by Australian helicopters?
