Just purchased tickets to see The Who and Pink next year and got me wondering who everyone else is going to see. And, if you have just been to a concert, post up a review. :band:guitar:

My dear girlfriend was "fortunate" enough to get a couple of tickets to see Coldplay here in London in December. I can't say I'm much for their music, but the theatrics should be good.

In other news, Slipknot are playing down the road from me this week. It makes for some very interesting trips home from work :)

Slipknot, kids in the area must be having nightmares seeing what comes out of those concerts. I guess it would good for a laugh to see all the Jason's in the street.

I saw Eminem and 50cent in Japan.

Me and another cracker jumped the security fence when no one was looking and spent a fair old whach behind the stage. No one stopped us cause they thought as we were white we must be part of the crew lol. Saw the two boys pretty close up.

Saw Metallica in 93 at flinders park

Festivals each of the next two weekends - FRL (Bilyana) & Meredith.
Wait the whole year for festival season, great time

Been to Meredith a few times, BDO 5 or 6 times.

Been there, seen them first time they came out to Aus :p

I saw Pink about 5 years ago when I was in Phoenix. At that time she didn't have enough music to play a full set so she did a couple of covers and played two of her songs twice. (She was the warm-up act for Lenny Kravitz.) Plenty of energy and fun. Went to see Bruce Springsteen and Elvis Costello around the same time as well. Bring some earplugs for the Who if they're still as loud as they used to be ;)

Cheers nunno, seen Ash before around the traps, BKB were recommended by another friend but haven't caught them yet.

Will be taking the budgie smugglers up to FRL too, might scare the kiddies somewhat

Combined Senior Choirs/Bands from schools. For $5 magnificent talent on display and just wonderful music.

And on Christmas Eve starting around 6:00pm some 6 hours of music for FREE - courtesy of these young people. And in a chapel with stained glass windows where the setting sun dapples across the audience.

Much better than the ubiquitous BBQ where everyone stands around drinking VB and slurring Merry Christmas at the end of the evening.

Yep will be heading to Meredith too - 5th time.

Cannot wait to seeRegurgitator play live again. Last time I saw them was in the Sheppards Bush Walkabout! Seedy stuff.

A few that come to mind in the past 5 years (leaving out smaller shows as there's rather a lot to list):

Offspring, Bryan Adams, Shannon Noll, Simple Plan, Green Day, Motorhead, Motley Crue, Guns N' Roses, Cheap Trick, Def Leppard. Also a couple of various artists retro 70's / 80's concerts.

Best? Def Leppard, Motley Crue. Always been a huge fan of Def Leppard but had never seen them live before and the show wasn't bad (could have been a bit longer though). Motley Crue just had a truly massive show that would be hard to beat.

Worst? Guns N' Roses - the current lineup and the constant disappearances off stage (literally every few minutes) just didn't cut it.

Other bits - met Kim Wilde and Sam Fox whilst on tour. (Yeah I know, it would have been more relevant if I'd met them 20 years earlier, but anyway).

Next? I'm going to Pink next year and (hopefully) Birds of Tokyo.

If Metallica came to Australia then I'll be there for sure. Likewise if AC/DC tours again (seen them before though).:)

Metallica/Megadeth/Slayer/Fear Factory/Foo Fighters/Last 2 Gigantours. See a few twice in the last 2-3 years.

2BAD - How you gunna organize trying to score tickets to Metallica? I wouldnt be surprised if they sell out in like 2-3 mins :banghead: So me and my mates are going organise a few of us (on different computers) to try and purchase our tickets all at the same time.

Yeah, haven't seen the 'gurg since mid/late 90s so will be a blast from the past. Meredith regular as well myself, highlight of my year normally (and now there's two!)

Super keen to see Ten East (if Brank Bjork likes them they must be good :D) and see the Datsuns on a stage bigger than the East Brunswick Club - somewhere that might do them justice (don't think they'll be headlining the Forum again anytime soon).

A mate of mine went to slipknot a few years back and he said that one of the guys got up on the side speakers and urinated on the guitarist while he was doing a solo...

He also said that the two percussionists punched the crap out of each other as part of the show...

Kids these days...:twak:

The last show I went to was Pearl Jam (Phenomenal band) with Kings of Leon.
