Australian (ASX) Stock Market Forum

Today's trading on the ASX

US futures down about 4% so we might have a couple of bloody days. I was going to start adding some small chunks this am, but maybe not.

When 60% cash and nearly 20% pm, adding a few cheaper entries will not hurt too much, i will have a back to 2 y ago entry, and that does not take 10% inflation or so into account...not too bad, that does not mean i am all in at all

So it seems that a number of big players have already been burnt "buying into the dips"

Hedge funds who play the stock market casino game are flashing amber. I wonder who will be on the other side of the sell calls ? And will there be enough to prevent a disorderly market ?

I don't believe it is feasible for Super funds to make big exit calls. Last year when big players exited from FMG for example the price dropped precipitously. And that was in an overall reasonably good market situation. Today and tomorrow ?

I wonder if Warren Buffet is still on the sidelines waiting to pick up the pieces ?
He will probably wait until the market capitulates before putting his $325 billion dollars to good use, still to early to deploy it.

All 3 trading accounts are very slow to respond. Mobile versions are all faster.

Poor moms and dads trying to sell. I just want to see the red!

Looking at a few shares and there are FA buyers and still very big sellers.

If people are trying to sell at market or brokers covering short positions there may not be sufficient buyers for a looooong way down.
