Great comeback by Sinner, some really nice shots in the 5th set, great tennis.

Well done Sinner, kept his cool to close out the match, getting Aussie coach Darren Cahill on the team certainly has paid dividends.
Cahill has coached some top players.
True. Darren Cahill coached Lleyton Hewitt to two grand slam titles and number one in the world. The Hewitt camp then dumped Cahill and Lleyton's tennis went downhill from there.

The legendary Bjorn Borg was one of the finest tennis players ever to play on the court. He had a prosperous career and a tragic one as well. Borg embraced the game at an early age with massive motivation from his father, Rune Borg, who gifted his Golden racket to Borg to prepare him for what lay ahead. He was forced to retire relatively early and even attempted a short-lived comeback. But his final moment was not as sweet as his start. This video uncovers Borg’s glorious moments in tennis, his sudden retirement, and why he attempted a comeback.

Tearful Boris Becker says he 'hit the bottom' when he was jailed for 30 months for tax evasion in new documentary - and opens up on fling with Russian model in a broom cupboard that ruined his marriage

The 55-year-old Becker was released from jail in England last December after serving eight months of a 30-month prison sentence for tax evasion. The six-time grand slam winner was convicted last April of hiding £2.5million-worth of assets and loans to avoid paying debts.

Upon release, he was deported from the UK and returned to Germany to rebuild his life. And the next step in his rehabilitation comes in a tell-all documentary with Apple called 'Boom! Boom! The World vs. Boris Becker'.

the lad looking good... serving for the 3rd set ... nice
Hopefully he wraps it up next set, his arm isn't looking too hot, but sometimes a niggling pain can help with keeping focus, in cricket many high scores are made by batsmen with an injury.
As long as it doesn't cause him to retire injured.

You will have to let me know how it goes, I have to head to the hospital to pick up the wife, she is having a cancer removed from her face. So I will miss the match

Just got home, looks like it has been a great contest.
Well it was a great game, Thanasi played well, Draper is no slouch and he is seeded much higher than Thanasi.

Yes great contest, some really good tennis. Kokkinakis will learn from that battle and hopefully be better for that next time round.

Kind regards

Yes when sportspeople get to the elite level, the difference between them is usually fitness and which one has the mental strength to concentrate and maintain the standard for the longest.
and with de Minaur on court right now, we're seeing that.

The other point that amazes me is how the commentators, the retired elite players, can pick up on a niggle that can become an injury so early.
