BTC is an interesting investment. How much should one have in it as a proportion of total investing capital. I've added some of the VBTC to my Super Fund and figure it is about 2.5 % of my portfolio.
I believe 5% would be an adequate amount to hold, no more for me.
It's the unknown unknowns one has to look for imo with something like BTC. Trump could cark it on a burger going down the wrong way, some incel could hack his way in to the worldwide cache of BTC and destroy it, another Bankman-Fried episode could occur. All those sorts of things.
On the other hand it could go to $1000. All unknown unknowns.
Interesting.

I was worried about the hacking thing as well. The bigger threat is probably legislation. But the returns year on year are way too good. Next dip (if we get one) I'll probably dump a large portion of my portfolio into bitcoin again. It's very interesting GG. It could go to a gazillion, or an AI bot could hack it and create one single coin from nothing and it's worth nothing. I understand blockchain, but I don't know what AI is going to do.
Easier to manage and put money in than trying to let our Australian Stalinist banks agree to move my own money toward a crypto exchangeMy pick for February stock tipping and the calendar year tipping comp. Bitcoin which has no real use and no real value is purely speculative momentum trade. At some point I believe it will drop to zero, but for now with the US politice, it will be around for a while and will most like move up in time.
