Just for fun!

I used this website as a guide

http://www.duke.edu/~rnau/411infla.htm

How much is the XJO worth in "2006 dollars".

Mar-2012 CPI is not out yet. I hear the RBA really doesn't like that ABS only puts out numbers quarterly when all the other developed economies run a monthly number.

This is a longer term view that I have posted previously as part of a discussion on real returns. Sorry it is not updated for recent months.

I must have misinterpreted the guide :/

This looks about right... To be fair XJOAI the accumulation index would probably paint a better picture for the market.

Inflation really creeps up on you, doesn't it. I needed to stop and think about how things are 15% more expensive these days than 2007.

craft, I can't view that attachment in my browser, can you re-post or something?

I can’t drag the chart into pane which says “Drag previously uploaded files into this area to attach them” (not sure why) so I put it up as an image – might be the problem.

This was the original post - maybe you could view it there or give me an education on how to reattach old charts.
