Now that the US Fed is creating electronic US dollars, who would be keen to hold them?

Heck, all it takes in the US to create wealth, is to print money...so here goes

$1 US

Who wants to swap the above printed money for a genuine Aussie dollar? Its going cheap, a 20% mark up.

Cheers

Dont over rate the "genuine Aussie dollar", as it only represents approximately 5% of the "Broad" Money Supply.

After watching the 4 Corners story on America's "greatest con man" Bernie Madoff, it refreshed my mind that the financial system is the greatest "ponzi" scheme of all.

On a more serious note, knowing what is happening, how is it the US dollar still remains fairly strong. I realize its the reserve currency, but is this the only reason?

Anybody have any thoughts on if & when the US dollar will tank?

I'm thinking the first signs could be:
inflation?
plunging oil price?
skyrocketing gold prices?

Cheers

Well considering China's control over US debt and currency with the trillions of dollars in reserve holdings (growing by an estimated 18bn a month!!), I think China has a very large amount of power in the strength of the USD. A decision by China to cease taking US Debts, selling US bonds and dumping their reserves will have devastating effects on the USD.

America is also struggling with its debt and is starting to print out more money... this will definitely devalue the USD
