And I lost a case of beer in a bet:shake:

Re: WHY BRONCOS WHY

Most football teams seem to want to find the biggest groups of opposition and run towards them and get tackled..the Storm passed the ball out along the line creating confusion.. the secret to winning a game.

Yep. At 79 minutes 15 seconds they're mostly thinking "run hard, done good".

Re: WHY BRONCOS WHY

Don't really care who won the game, but if Slater wasn't offside on the try he scored, then I don't know what is. He was a good foot ahead of Cameron smith, the kicker. Smith didn't run him onside either.
It wasn't even sent up to the 3rd umpire for adjudication and channel nine went straight to an ad and the try wasn't replayed. The commentary team didn't even analyze the try.

A very poorly umpired game.

and its a buga when you spend all that good money on a TV set - and watch for a whole game - and the "sports gurus" do that to you, as well. - too busy cramming the ads in.

:topic Sounds like Lockyer was tackling the man without the ball
Amazing the effect of "additional CCTV footage " on your memory of whether you were even there, isn't it

Lockyer admits to tackling bar manager

As more claims of Broncos misbehaviour surfaced, Brisbane skipper Darren Lockyer has backflipped and admitted tackling a bar manager following the release of new CCTV footage.

Lockyer had initially denied any involvement after ABC TV this week released security footage from the Casablanca bar, in inner-city Brisbane, from September 6.

To be perfectly honest, I don't recall doing it.
sheesh - now he's use "the Ponting defense" lol - doing a Pont as they say.
Lockyer used to own a bar apparently

But (the club) said they had been forced to triple security at the venue - just down the road from Suncorp Stadium - after receiving abusive calls from irate Broncos fans for releasing the CCTV footage.

However, Lockyer is not holding any grudges over the leaked footage.

"I'm not dirty on anyone. At the end of the day, I was the person that made someone feel a bit threatened but that wouldn't have been my intention," said Lockyer, who once owned a bar on Caxton Street.

Well too bad, Broncos fans. You now know how we felt last week in Melbourne when the mighty Storm was pipped on the post by the huge and hairy Warriors.

The better team won last night...:)

I don't know if any others of the Broncos went on a 8-12 hour bender last week (just before the game that you have been bashing yourself around for the season), but the ones that did not act stupidly can blame the three that did for their loss.

No matter how fit/good you are your game performance can not be as good as it would have been without the bender. The difference in the three drinkers performance might have cost them the game.

Goose Gould has finally come up with a good idea - don't drink whilst you have a contract for playing league - you may not know it but its the best thing you will do for yourself.

dont worry Melbourne will never win, they will be getting glassed this weekend htne absolutely domianted by Manly...go the eagles!

Melbourne are a team of professionals...could you rally expect a team of Brisbane's ability and commitement to beat a powerhouse like Melbourne.

Go AFL...!

QLD fish and chip shop mafia have now placed a contract on your head. I'd be wary of all redheads for a while.
