Hi all,
I've had a search and couldn't really find the answers to my question so I hope I'm not asking what's been asked many times before.
I'm looking to broaden my trading portfolio. I currently trade bitcoin on BitMex and invested in shares on CMC. My strategy involves trading levels on the hourly and daily charts. Generally holding positions for sometimes hours, mostly a few days, sometimes weeks.
I'm looking to start trading Forex, commodities, and shares so am looking towards CFDs for this. I'm trying to work out the best platform to use (I'd rather use one than have many accounts, but perhaps it's best to have a forex and commodities account and an account for share CFDs??). I'll probably settle on a few markets in the end but want to play a few for a while to see which rhyme best with me.
So what I'm looking to understand is, which is the best platform for this type of trading? With all the variables of position fees, spreads, commission, etc... it's really difficult to work out. I've been looking at pepperstone, IG and eToro, does anyone have advice on this? XTB seem to be good but don't seem to be in Australia.
So this leads me to my next question, does the exchange need to be in Australia? I'm guessing it's best to trade Forex from USD to save on crosses.
Finally share CFDs. It seems that this may be a cheaper way to trade than buying the shares outright, which it seems to me is ok as an investor but as a speculator CFDs are a cheaper way to go?
Thanks in advance,
C3d
