Oil futures.I am expecting a substancial amount of money to arrive then need to reinject (sale of PPOR then purchase of a new one)
I do not have a known calendar : between a few weeks to a few months at most:
what are the options to park the money, safety being first priority, far more than returns for a 2 months or so period
Pre GFC, an online saving, a talk to your banker or short term TD would have done the deal, what would you suggest in august / september 2020
Looking for inputs here
It is funnily similar to https://www.aussiestockforums.com/threads/where-to-park-funds-during-the-financial-turmoil.12609/ during the GFC
or even Where are you parking your cash? by @Moving Average earlier this year.
Once again it is not a park and wait to reinvest after a down: puut aside for a few weeks before using
OOOOil futures.
gg
Sorry mate, I could not resist.OOO
If i was a gambler: my whole life saving double or quit
Probably better odds than casino indeed
Thanks GG..i pass
We are talking big money..no peer to peer lending for mepeer-to-peer lending? wont be much on a short timeframe but its something
I am using but actually trying to get out.Plenti (the new name for rate setter)
put some in the 1 month lending market, rest in the 5 year market, you will earn about 6.5% in the 5 year market at the moment, and can redraw it whenever you want, and only pay a 2 % penalty, so as long as you leave it there more than 3 months you will be in the green.
I am using but actually trying to get out.
As you know, riles have changed lately and there is no way i would bet literally my house on this company
But thanks for the suggestion and i also hope for a shorter time frame
Indeed canstar, should have thought about it.much thankshttps://www.canstar.com.au/compare/savings-accounts/?profile=Online+Saver&amount=500000&state=QLD
1.4% up to 1.9% available.
Some 4 month maximum bonus interest promo deals.
The better ones I saw were HSBC, BOQ and Australian Unity.
Have a good look around Canstar.
As safe as Banks.
(There was a nabtrade circa 1.25% offer if you want to trade in some funds)
Best of luck, Mr Frog.
Contractual limit on your rate request as an investor the first obvious one, with max now all below what i asked and got in the past.. talking months, not yearswhich rule changes are making you leave?
