Where do our taxes go?

IMHO taxpayers are just subsidising bank profits with middle class welfare instead of people taking care of their own affairs. Look at the interest rates in the US, Canada, the UK and the Eurozone. We are just siphoning all our productive wealth into the mortgage belt forget the slither the government takes.
And if you think the banks aren't excessively greedy look at their credit card rates vs the cash rate..lol
