Unfortunitly i was only 8 years old. Would of been good to of invested in Microsoft, Oracle or Dell back 20 years ago though $10,000 twenty years ago would of gotten you around $800,000,000 today (taking the splits into account) even if you brought though you would of been out ages ago. Picking a company that gives you a 300% return is one thing, deciding to stay in it thinking it will give a 800,000% return in two decades is another.
Bought $10,000 worth of Arrow Energy at 26.5c in 2004 and still holding. Whether the economy's booming or crashing the world needs energy, and I think CSG has a long way to go yet.
Can anybody recommend any solar power companies worth investigating? I'm NOT looking for investment advice, just companies I can do my own research on (as I did with CSG.)
Two that have been good for me and still holding: NXS @ 25c in 2004 , AVO @ 84c in 2006. Particularly hoping that NXS will 'be the one' long term. Know someone who got FMG @ $1. $10,000 of those babies at that price would now make one a millionaire........we can all dream.
I love this forum! Bought 6000 LNC at 80.5c on 29/2/08. They were going along quite nicely so I bought another 8574 @ $2.41 on 12/5/08. A week or so later @ $2.75 I bought another 9000 shares. Todays closing price and sitting on paper profit of $52k. Have to thank Grace's posts for convincing me a good one to have a dip at.
Now just waiting (waiting, waiting) for GCR to kick on as well as DMM and AZM several others. Can't give up work quite yet though!
My biggest win so far is 28pts on the ftse100 at 1 pound per point. was around 57 ausdollars in 20min :
Biggest loss was 13pts, and what a stupid time that was...no stop losses+I didnt realize one of my indicators was showing movement in opposite direction
have plans to increase the quantity later this year...
