Water Rights in Australia and elsewhere

but the glyphosphate is in many foods , especially after Monsanto created several food crops that are 'round-up ready ( that is survive two sprayings of Round-Up before harvesting )

i will leave you to research the perils of that ( HINT read the translated Japanese research first start with GM soy )
It’s only about as poisonous to humans as table salt is, Normally (unless some sort of gross contamination has occurred) it’s a very very low levels.

We all know radiation from the sun is harmful to humans, but we freak out when we receive a glimmer of sun light through the curtain.

time will tell , all i know is it gets applied in lots of places , it also works by spraying on the leaves the leaf absorb the chemical right down to the tips of the roots ( so traces are in the whole plant ) the genetically modified plants survive and the others don't

Salt is applied to lots of our foods too, most of us even add more salt, a handful of salt will kill you, but a sprinkle does nothing.

Glyphosate is designed to kill plants, not animals. You are more likely to be killed by sunshine, as the 15,000 Australians that develop melanoma per year will tell you.

Or die from breathing air in our cities as the 3000 Australians that die from air pollution each year will tell you.

Own shares in Monsanto by any chance?

Only in the global index I hold, which holds like 1600 companies, I have no dog in the fight from a share holders perspective.

I am just stating the facts. Eg there is more oestrogen is a glass of cows milk that a life time supply of recycled water, and Salt is just as poisonous as glyphosate.

It’s just one of those things that people over state the risk of, especially compared to other things in their life.

It’s funny, some people can literally tell you with a straight face that they are worried about fluoride in the water as they sit there drinking beer, or that they are worried about their flight as they sit in a car on the freeway on the way to the airport.

I think the water rights trading system isn’t perfect, but it’s better than no system.
As a non-farmer one issue I see is simply the inflexibility.

Rather a lot of water's been let out down the Murray and gone out to sea over the past few years that could've been retained in storage at Lake Eucumbene had a decision been made to do so.

Trouble is, the water license forces it to be released and so it is released despite no actual need downstream.

Then when the next drought comes, well who could've foreseen that there'd be a drought?

The common element to all of those is that repeated exposure over a prolonged period does increase the chance of various illnesses.

None will kill you for a single moderate exposure but enough of it, over a long enough period, takes its toll slowly but surely. :2twocents
Well, 70 grams of salt in one sitting will kill most people, that’s only about a handful of salt, while I wouldn’t call that moderate, it definitely doesn’t require prolonged exposure, it will kill you very quickly.

While prolonged moderate exposure has basically not bad effects, and is healthy.
