War against: Prejudice & Under 40s Thread

There are many forms of prejudice that may not be seen as such. A garage I remember had about a dozen people working there and as each car was repaired it would have the mechanics name on the bill. If the mechanic was an Aborigine they'd repeat very many times how important it was to bring the car back if you had any problems at all. If it wasn't an Aborigine no word was said.
It was an excellent garage and to my shame I overlooked these comments that were well known.

Was he a new employee? Was he an apprentice? Had he stuffed up a lot before?

What if a white guy stuffed up lots, and they said that after seeing their name on the bill? What if it was a white apprentice? What if it was a white guy who stuffed up every second car? Would they be allowed to say to bring the car back if there are any problems?

If every other mechanic there didn't make mistakes, and the other guy did, I don't see a problem.

My post was principally in the past tense and not about a particular individual in isolation, more a number over time.
